Jesus, that's a high score. Actually, what is it that makes persona so special? Why does it score so much higher than virtually every other jrpg series?

Because it's so much better in gameplay, story, characters, OST, visual style, and even in user interface... (and I might miss other points)

Well, pretty nice day and great timing today.

I went this morning to the Japan consulate of my city to ask for my student visa for Tokyo (departure soon!). When I went back home, this was in my mail...

Amazon really had a perfect timing ! :D (I can have a little warm-up before the real thing there...)

1. Story is fantastic. Theres depth to it often, highlighting issues within society.

2. Characters are well developed, good Dialogue & humor.

3.  Balanceing act, of developeing your social links /  status attributes / combat items (weapons, armor, accessories).

4. Soundtracks, usually these games last forever (100+hours) so you ll be listening to these songs alot, it sticks with you afterwards.

5. Good unlockables, farming is fun/rewarding, melding persona's can be fun too (theres days where you get extra traits/bonus's).

6. Love intrests, you can try and win over the girl you like most.

7. Gives a "fun" look into how things are in japan.

Theres a certain "feel" to the game, its own identity. The art style is great.

That's a smexy sight. =p
My Amazon has my delivery set for 8-11th so I'll have to wait a while.

Yeah, the Take your Heart edition is amazing... I put a few more pictures here:

Good luck for your waiting! I personally won't be able to finish the game because I'll go to Japan too soon. I hope to be able to finish it with remote play ^^.

Because it knows what it is and what it wants to be, and thus can create an identity and build on its strenghts and create new ones, unlike other franchises that desperetaly wants to appease other and in the process loses itself.

My (locked) thread about how difficulty should be a decision for the developers, not the gamers.

Cool. Is it your first time there? We had a Playstation in the appartment I lived in (had roomates) so I could still play games. =p. If you're going to Tokyo, you'll see that Persona 5's layout of it is fairly acurate. They swapped out stores of course, but yeah.

It's not my first time there because I had a one-month internship there almost 10 years ago ^^. But it will be the first time I'll stay a year or more. I'll more accurately live in Hachioji, in Tokyo suburbs, but I'll obviously go to Tokyo frequently to compare with the game. I'll have roommates and I don't know how the appartment will be yet, but if possible, we'll get a PS4 too :D

Persona 5 is the number 1 on amazon usa and germany : )
The enthusiasm is huge about the game - just one day before release. the reviews are amazing! I expect strong supply shortages. Hope the best for all, have fun guys = )
