Besides Zelda, how many games have scored at or above a 94 this gen?

None. Only Last of us and GTAV which aren't accounted, as remasters i suppose

Man, I really need to get started on this series. Seems like I'm missing a lot.
Thankfully, I've managed to cobble together parts 1-3 on PS2, PS3, and PSV. Now to actually play them.
Gameblog.fr gave the game a 100/100. They're usually extremely tough.
We may have the greatest game ever made on our hands, guys.

Play Persona 4 Golden.
Besides Xenoblade Chronicles, it's probably my favorite game of all time right now.
"Just for comparison Uncharted 4 was 20x bigger than Splatoon 2. This shows the huge difference between Sony's first-party games and Nintendo's first-party games."

I do, since 2000. |
But did Legend of Dragoon make you levitate!?
I do think a lot of how Persona 5 is going to be remembered in the history of gaming won't be known until retrospective reviews about a year down the line.
Retrospectively, the original Nier was horribly underrated, while Bioshock: Infinite and especially Undertale have seem to have lost some of their initial luster. Bloodborne and The Witcher 3 (while highly rated at the time) have both gotten significantly more praise in the two years since they were released. MGS: V has lost a lot of its initial enthusiasm, whereas MGS3 (which was originally one of the lesser reviewed MGS's) has significantly improved in how people perceive it.
Simply put, when judging the GOAT, you can't just judge the game based upon initial impressions. People may still ultimately see Persona 4 as a more daring game than Persona 5 and retroactively prefer Persona 4. We'll see.

Then you should definitely start with Persona 3.
I think you wouldn't have any problem starting directly with Persona 5 though.
