Forums - General Discussion - Star at the Bar #7: Tornado's & VGChartz Lock-Outs

Been a bit! How's everyone? The bar is relatively low right now. Been out because VGChartz messed up with my password. You see, I was logged out of my account 3 days back. I tried logging back in and it didn't work. Tried resetting my password after my computer (which has my password saved) didn't work. Welp, when I sent the reset password, VGC didn't email me. I use Gmail but I hear this is an issue on Outlook and similar such email sites. I'm sure you guys saw the alt account I made for temps sake, MegamiTensei XD but thankfully Trucks got me my password back! Thank you, Trucks! <3

So the other night (last night) I was on my way to work when I hear sirens as I walk outside. I then get a call from my gf saying theres a tornado warning. So I'm like, "FOR FUCKS SAKES!" To make matters worse the tornado was spotted where my client lives... On my way to my shift my clients mom tells me she's going to delay the shift for 2hrs... keep in mind I'm halfway there now. It's raining hard and hailing bad. I, having a massive phobia of tornados, was pissed.

So I go to my gf's house since it's closer to where I was than my place -the storm was getting bad so I figured this was safer. Well her parents got mad I was over (it was around 8:30pm). They thought I was being a baby for coming over, not realizing I could barely drive in those conditions. That annoyed me. But hey, everything worked out. The storm was almost gone by the time they kicked me out for seeking shelter and the night was alright as well!

Any weather stories? I have a lot. But decided to stick with my fresh experience from yesterday XD

Its funny, I live in Tornado alley but I have never needed to take cover or even seen one. Worst wind (or Best imo) was when I was in the 4th grade and I could jump into the air and feel it try to fly me away, was so fun. Much too heavy for that now. I suppose when I was in 9th grade, we had around -40F with wind chill and still had to go to school was annoying though.

They aren't the most empathetic people x.x ones very traditionally Cantonese. The other is kind of a judgemental asshole. My family did not have kind words about what happened when I told them today XD

I once went to the library- walked a few miles, and thought nothing could go wrong.

With my luck, it poured on me. It was the first time it rained in like a week or so. It wasn't fun having soggy books.

Sucks to see your gf's parents got mad. Not as if you're gonna do anything.

What part of tornado alley? I used to live in the Dallas-Fortworth area. That place got baaad in the Summer. Had a neighbors house get destroyed by a tornado when I was 5. Actually gave me the extreme phobia I have of tornados now XD I do remember the strong wind doing the same to me once! It was fun

I live in Florida, as pre-established. So, ya know, just the occasional hurricane.

Oh Jesus that sucks XD sounds like something that would happen in Oregon.

Eh, I won't let it bother me. They're the ones that'll look like assholes in the end for turning their back on someone who needed for help x.x I'll shower them with unconditional kindness!

Do you stay or leave when they come?

Iowa. It is odd that NA gets the majority of  tornadoes and all the other continents barely get any, and if so they are puny compared to Tornado Alley tornadoes.

In the past we've evacuated, but recently there haven't been any horrible hurricanes that directly affect my area. I don't know what I'd do now. It's a bit safer for me to not evacuate than say someone who lives directly on the coasts, at least.
