We've all seen Halo before. But what is Xbox doing NOW? They keep buying out timed exclusivity and investing in controllers. But where are the games?

Honestly, I think they should stick with PC. Why bother trying to corner PC AND the console market? It's clearly not working.

I agree with this. I'm not the biggest supporter of jrpgs but I love schmups and I think japanese characters are most of the time interesting. People seem to be on a hate autopilot though and I think it's great to see such a forward looking article. Encourage MS in getting better with the Japanese... maybe someday they'll fund old ips like Otogi.

Phill went over to Japan a few weeks ago and they have had a few exclusives like Psycho pass. Imo they should try more buy giving monmey to devs to make exclusives like they did last gen but dont cancel the games like scalebound.

This year there is no FPS Halo just like last year. They have SoT, crackdown 3, cupheads, ashen, SoT, Forza. Like you said your enot really interested in their offering but that doesnt mean they dont make games. Also i hope u know making a cusotm controller really doesnt cost that much. Its basically adding colors ot a controller.

I like the Win 10 and Xbox combo. If you dont have an Xbox buy the games on PC if u can run em. If you have an Xbox play them on any of ur windows 10 devices even if youre not home. If they get more Japanese support this could be a deal breaker fi they improve UWP.

I enjoyed all the bullet hell and arcade games on the 360 and sorely missing them on the XBO, it would be nice if they could get those games back.

Exactly how was the 360 an inferior product to the PS3?

Last time i checked devs preferred the 360 over the PS3 and offered majority of the better 3rd party games.

MS went from one extreme last gen to another this gen. They had many Japanese titles exclusive to xbox 360 (temporary and permanent exclusives). But this gen they basically have barebones support.

At this stage the money they'd need to invest really isn't worth it. Better saving it for one last big push next gen. Still won't be enough in Japan. They love Nintendo and Playstation too much.

I'm on the side of encouraging, as well as commending them for continuing to make the effort despite them not doing so well currently. Trying to diversify their consoles is only better for it than not doing anything about it, or just stepping out of it. So yeah, just keep trying, Xbox team.
