Forums - Politics Discussion - Kinda funny continues to bleed subscribers. Loose over 6,000 dollors on Patreon.

Sigh... are we still associating political currents with social trends? Cause it's getting real tiresome.

Theres left wing supportors that in no way support this kind of abuse. Please stop the disgusting agenda and mixing what are government models with social behaviour. Completely different things.

Far left? I see nothing wrong with it atm.
Douchebag behaviour? I am opposed to.

It was a womens protest day, so all over the country women where chooseing to not show up for work, to prove how much they matter to the work force.

Collen tweeted "Ah, Peace & Quiet", its kinda a typical mom&dad joke.

You ever watched "Married with children" or a 100 other sitcom tv series, you ve heard it, your mom&dad have probably made it many times too.

So not really offensive at all, from my point of view.

Also Im pretty sure Collen didnt mean for it to be offensive.

What happend is a few SJW didnt like it, and his "team" of co-workers jumped on him, and threw him under the bus.

What was actually offensive to me, was seeing his "friends" and co-workers all attacking him.

People really got mad over that harmless joke?

A few SJW did.

What I didnt like was seeing his friends and co-workers, not back him up, but instead just throwing him under the bus so to speak.

I can respect that Colen refused to bow his head and apologies to the SJW groups that took offense of that tweet.

He resigned so his "stances" on things wouldnt effect Kinda funny games, and is probably still good friends with the others.

Hope him all the best in the future.

But Kinda funny is not going to be the same without him.

The real issue here is indeed that his co-workers threw him under the bus. Patreon is based on trust. If you don't like those people anymore, you naturally won't support them.
They were so worried that those few vocal SJW's were gonna cost then, that they ignored all the other ones who aren't overeacting douchebags and actually enjoy the type of humor KFG uses. The people who burned Colin probably weren't even their supporters. They shot themselves in the foot.

Again, this has nothing to do with politics. It is disenginuous to sugest that. Also, there beeing consequences from this type of situation is what empowers them to do it again. Twitter is an evil thing.

I mostly see that colin is brilliant at self marketing. He appeals to all sides by making himself out to be the stoic victim. He has everyone rallying around him by staying incredibly vague about what actually went down with KF and if he was going to leave anyways.

I don't agree with the reaction to his joke, but I also don't think he was neccessarily thrown under any sort of bus. I think he reconized an incredible marketing opportunity for his new show when it was staring him in the face and took it. He had so much publicity from the tweet and making it seem related to why he left KF made it an elegant exit solution without alienating fans of his prior work by going into more political and history related topics.

His transition has been spectacularly successful.

I understand that this is satire, but what has gone so wrong with Americans and Marxism? Has anyone even sat down to read Marx seriously or is the general attitude as if he wrote the Satanic Bible?

They were teached to believe marxism is the boogie man and from now on many of them believe every problem of the world has something to do with marxism xD

The joke was "Ah, Peace and quite #ADayWithoutAWoman" JRPGfan keeps missinforming you for some reason.

Think about it, March 8, women day, a day in which we are supossed to remember the importance of women in our history and society and many of them don't go to work as a symbol, and then this guy, that is well known for being a pretentious dick with very "conservative" political ideologies (he even thinks Bernie is a comunist lol) suddlenly post that tweet, and all the anti-SJW (aka sexist and racist people in disguise) applauded him, it was a provocation, the people that got mad with it was being over sensitive but let's not pretend it was such an innocent tweet because it wasn't, it was tasteless and looking for a reaction. When kindafunny said those were not the kind of fans they wanted, they were totally right, if there is something worse than SJW that's, without a doubt, anti-SJW, a category in which many Colin fans fall into.

Whole problem lays with you thinking #ADayWithoutAWoman is good/important it's not, it's a stupid idea and the satire of Colin tweet was to show how ridiculous the day was. (Colin has never said it wasn't his intent) . Colin isn't at all conservative, he has ideas which lean conservative that doesn't mean he is conservative(as if conservativ is a bad thing).

What a lazy simple minded point of view.

No you couldn't, did I label whole group of people racist and sexiest due to them having a different poltical opinion?

It was just a cute little jab at women. The joke wouldn't really work on any other day of the year, so I don't see the big deal. Its ok to be offended by it, but no reason to lash out on the guy. I think the guys at KF should have stood by him, but they were probably scared of a backlash from that side.
