Wait.. so now forza is considered better than GT?

anyways, lets not get into it, I think it will be better. And I am sure you would say Forza would be better.... so we can just agree to disagree here and now.

Since Forza started in 2005 it has absolutely destroyed Gran Turismo.  It's really not even close.

On top of that Polyphony makes us wait an average of 4 years between titles.

Why does it take them so long to make games that don't even measure up to the annual releases from Turn 10?

Maybe this one will be different but I have a feeling Forza 7 is going to be a much better game than GT:S.

16 years ago GT:3 was the best racing game on the planet.

12 years ago Forza took that crown and has never looked back.

Metacritic:

GT 4 - 89 Metacritc (2005)

GT 5 - 84 Metacritic (2010)

GT 6 - 81 Metacritic (2013)

Forza - 92 (2005)

Forza 2 - 90 (2007)

Forza 3 -92 (2009)

Forza 4 - 91 (2011)

Forza 5 - 79 (2013)

Forza 6 - 87 (2015)

FH - 85 (2012)

FH 2 - 86 (2014)

FH 3 - 91 (2016)

Forza has both the quality and the quantity.

@ the bolded. That's a strong word there. It didn't completely destory them. Beat them judging from Metacritic...yeah. Not destroyed though. LOL

Gran Turismo Sport Continues To Look Gorgeous In Some Brand New Screenshots

The Gran Turismo Sport closed beta is still going strong, and several North American players have recently received the code to access it. Some of these users have shared more screenshots from the closed beta.

The new Gran Turismo Sport screenshots, shared by several users on NeoGAF, continue to confirm how the game can look gorgeous even on the regular PlayStation 4 model.

Last week, the first Gran Turismo Sport beta impressions started coming in, with users noting how controls and driving feel very smooth and how performance is solid.

It feels really damn good. Cars control well and driving is very smooth. A.I is by far the weakest thing about the beta though. I am playing on a standard PS4 and it’s a solid 60fps with no drops or screen-tearing so far. I am probably going to get shit for saying this but Gran Turismo Sport is by far the best looking game on the PS4. It slaughters DriveClub both in graphics and gameplay wise.

Gran Turismo Sport was supposed to launch last year, but the game eventually got delayed to polish it further and deliver an appropriate level of quality. A new release date has yet to be confirmed, outside of a generic 2017 release window. We will keep you updated on the game as soon as more comes in on it, so stay tuned for all the latest news.

Yes, 79 to 81 which is telling how bad both games were.

Oh boy... an 81 is a bad score aswell now? Man... its 90+ or go home nowadays. Crazy!

Bad in comparison to their predecessors. Crazy to not think that I meant it that way.

GT6 was arguably the best title in the series for those that care about content and gameplay. The review just tells you how pretty the graphics were for the time.

If i had to buy only one GT title, i'd get 6. To call it trash... is really not accurate. Even compared to the rest of the series.

I didn't call it "trash", though. I was saying "Bad in comparison to their predecessors.". Which is true according to the reviews.

If you want to argue how much you think GT6 is the best GT and perhaps how much review scores matter to you, that is a whole different discussion and not suitable for this topic.

It's missing true endurance races though, as well as procedurally generated rally tracks and user made tracks. Or did they add that later?
Ahh update 1.21 added user created tracks september 2015, I was done with the game in 2014. I wish they had ported it to ps4, would have bought again. Too late now, looking forward to gt sport in VR.

As long as it has a CTS-V in there raping BMW and Mercedes booty, then it will be really realistic.

Actual gameplay. This is why I can't trust PD until I have the game in my hands any more. I mean it looks... ok I guess? Like a typical sim racer. Certainly nothing there graphics or sound wise that would represent such a long development time. Watching other gameplay vids of online races, seems the same bumper car physics are back. Wtf has PD been doing? Guess I'm out on sim racers until PS5/Xbone 2. Unless Codemasters makes one, I guess.

Doesn't look that great tbh. Like others have said, even Drive Club looks better. This looks PS3 level in my eyes. The lighting seems a bit flat as do the textures. Looks good, but I've seen better.

This is also why posting replays is absolutely useless.

Gameplay videos is what is needed and this one especially shows major LOD issues.
