Forums - Sony Discussion - Eternal Ring (FromSoftware) coming to PS4!

Why are the PS2 on PS4 games so expensive? I've got many of them for way less than that on the PS2, I can't believe that they'd actually charge such high prices for them. Anyways, this is a good start I guess, but I'd really like a King's Field/Shadow Tower collection, to be honest.

When I checked on the store, the games were like $10-$15, and the games on there that I did get, I got them from $2-$5.

Dunno if anybody else can remember this game, it's from before From were famous due to the Souls games But I thought it was great fun and I'm looking forward to the PS4 release (and a sale since imo PS2 to PS4 games are overpriced!)

Oh and as for a source this is all I got... https://psnprofiles.com/trophies/5978-eternal-ring

But games don't typically get trophy lists if they aren't releasing so

Many good/ bad memories attached to this game. Not bad  launch game except the ps2 was so expensive  with stores charging  $400 after launch. I paid  that and this was the first game to be around  that 30-40 range. Problem was I had no money for the 30-40 dollar memory  car: (  It pissed me off once you died you always had to reboot from memory. Made me hate Sony more as it forces you to buy a memory card rather than do a straight play through.  I remember  taking  shifts with friends  and avoiding  dangerous areas  and getting  mad when someone  died!

15$ is a bit steep, but you can't compare it with a a second hand game you got in a garage sale or a bargain bin.

Those reeditions have a cost, even if it's a small one. And well they want to make some money.

And like Ka-pi96 said, the PSN games always get discounted, so a higher price will let them have some room to do that.

Anyway, we're far from Nintendo's abusive prices and discount policies.

I didnt realise those PS2 games had upped graphics, trophies, among other PS4 OS related features.

on a related note, this was FS`s first PS2 game, so hopefully they will go through the rest of their games systemaitcally.

Get some Kings Field and Armoured Core loving.

So, basically nothing important. The base games are still the same.

Ohhhh I love this game.Make no mistake, this game sucks by today standards, but I have so much fun with it regardless! And this game is a living example that From can tell a good story when they want.

I really hope that they give this game another chance and reboot the whole thing one day.

My (locked) thread about how difficulty should be a decision for the developers, not the gamers.

Basically nothing doesnt really qualifiy for money/ time/ work put into the remaster.

If price is such an issue, buy the PS2 original then. Or wait for a PSN sale. If not, just accept that the PS4 release is not a cost-free project.

That's exactly what I do.

It's nice to see more PS2 games being ported to PS4.

I remember that game! played it back in 2008. it was an ok game it had good music, gameplay was alright, but world felt really lifeless. maybe i might get it again. maybe not
