I doubt anyone around here is still thinking about the Nes classic, but I've been patiently awaiting retail availability of it since November. Every once in a while it occurs to me to look into the availability of it, where I (of course) find that it's not in stock anywhere. Step 2 of the process is to look at eBay and see if the price has come down, and instead find that they're still selling regularly for around $140. Also, a primary cause of the supply issue is immediately made clear:
These are still selling at absurd costs every day months after release... is any company as incompetent as Nintendo when it comes to meeting demand?
Sooo while obviously Nintendo are one of the worst offenders with this sort of thing, does anyone else have any supply grievances? Do you think companies will ever make an effort to mitigate the rampant scalping present in multiple industries these days?
If I had the money to waste I'd hire some Japanese grafiti artist to sneak over to Nintendo's HQ and paint images of these scalping pyramid stacks all over their building haha (there's waaaay more pictures than I showed here, I'm beginning to think the entire Nes Classic supply is held by about 20 douchebags).
