It looks better and the stages have more elements, is not a huge difference but is noticeable if you played the first one

Yeah thats what I found too! Especially with the 3DS. |
I'm curious, how would AA help on a 240p screen ranging from 3.7" to 4.7" (diagonal) in size?
I WON A BET AGAINST AZUREN! WOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
:3
Yea I knew the differences was gonna be minor. Oh well

Main difference is this being a comparison between an old gen console vs. next gen console. This is not a comparison between two rival consoles in the same generation. Still, the difference is minimal at the same resolution as the original. Quite emberassing.
Honestly the resolution is what bothers me the most, it seems like a game that should easily run in 1080p while docked, yet it's still 720p. Maybe the ink mechanic is more taxing than it looks or something, who knows. At the very least they should try to put some AA in if they can, the game is still in development after all =P
After watching this, I can't help but think... "Man, his teammates must really hate him right now" for the sake of comparing the 2 games, he sacrificed some matches for the greater good... Thank you squidkid....
Also, yeah, the game looks minorly different, but really, what more is there to change graphically?

Resolution is the only thing .. I really wanted a splatoon game in 1080p :/

I'm actually glad the difference is insignificant, as this likely means they're focusing on what really matters at this point, gameplay, content, and performance!

I have the suspicion that NSMBU would have been much better received if it had a diferent artstyle. I think it got most of the hate/apathy it did because it looked too similar to the Wii game.
