I've seen birds argue with inanimate objects and try to court bird-looking objects, among other things. They're cute but definitely have a few screws loose.

My Maine Coon is really needy when it comes to play time and she goes through stages where she likes a particular game, be it fetch, hide and seek etc. She will play endlessly and sits at your feet begging for more play time. Currently she's addicted to tug of war and will bring me her toy so I will get her to chase it and then try to pull it out of my hand. She enjoys the struggle and when she gets really into it she starts growling like a little lion. It's hilarious and awesome.

But are they your birds?

Yeah, they are.

My border collie just passed away at 15 back in January but my god his stories are endless.

He once almost drowned himself trying to get a tree branch I had thrown into lake. He did several barrel rolls and dipped under a couple times before finally making it back and throwing up water lol

I tricked him into going in a completely different direction when playing fetch to give my lab a decent shot for once and he realized it and came rocketing back. They converged right at the ball and it was truly an unstoppable force meeting an immovable object. Weight advantage lab, speed advantage border. They also met at a perfectly perpendicular angle so the lab got a mean shot in the ribs and both went tumbling as an audible "OOOOMPH" came from the lab lol

He jumped out of our playhouse windows to get to us when we locked him inside. Luckily didn't break anything as it was a 15 foot drop or so

He wore out the grass in our front yard where his pet containment fence was from running along the exact line where he could go without getting the warning beep

When his hips were going bad in old age he still beat the lab once (6 years his junior) when he accepted that he would fall and grabbed the ball while rolling to a stop

He jumped out our car window to go herd geese as we drove by them. Again somehow avoiding injury

He got run over by our quad while trying to herd it and got back up to herd it again

Oh gosh I'm sure there's more that I'm forgetting but he was the most insane, difficult, loving, and memorable dog I think I'll ever have. Just the heart of a champion
