'the only people who are complaining are those with no interest in the game and Nintendo anyway'

argument is back in full force I see. Hate to tell you but you can still be a Nintendo fan while criticising them

You can't, however, judge something before you try it, is a bit suspicious how those that haven't played the game are making a drama about this while the ones that played the beta all said they noticed no difference in resolution between modes. in fact this hasn't even been confirmed, and even if its true, how is this a huge deal if nobody releazed about it while playing and the reception of the beta has been pretty positive?

I played it... it has better graphics, better performance than the wiiu and it can be improved  a lot this is a beta, this thread is bait, and i can only think the poster is trolling us, i dont know.

Of course you can. But there's a bunch of people on vgchartz (not many, just a few) who blow every single issue of the Switch out of proportion and are not even interested in buying the console. There's a difference between criticism and fear-mongering (and flat-out trying to kill people's enjoyment of a product). I'm not an Xbox fan but I'd never make a new thread for every single negative piece of Microsoft use and blow it out of proportion.

We've had scratch-gate where people said "the dock is faulty!" (or even "it's a cheap plastic screen! How dare Nintendo!") ...and not a single Switch user had a scratch on their unit on this forum (and the 3DS, PS Vita and the PSP had plastic screens, too).

There was Joy-Con Gate and the same people claimed "it's a major hardware issue! It can never be fixed!" ...turns out it's minor problem and can easily be repaired.

Or what about Zelda's horrible, horrible framerate... that actually isn't horrible at all and doesn't drop more often than most PS4 / Xbone games.

And of course we have the graphics drama with every new Switch game that fails to hit a certain resolution or fps ...even though the Switch is a portable machine and you can bet the same people wouldn't complain if this was a "Playstation Hybrid" with the exact same specifications.

Again, it's just a very minor portion of the vgchartz community but personally I think it's annoying. And yes, I'd be just as annoyed if people flooded the Playstation or Xbox forums with these threads. I didn't like the dozens of "X game has lower resolution on Xbox One" threads either (and I'm a PS4, Vita, PSP and PS3 owner. I even own a PSP Go and love it!).

Of course everyone is allowed to make the threads they want and even make as many negative threads about a console as they want. I just don't think it's very classy.

530p. That's suspiciously close to 540p. Which is Vita's screen resolution.

Vita port confirmed!

Have you, by any chance, ever tried drugs? What do you think about them?

Of course you can judge things before trying them. To what extent those judgements are valid is another question, but it's definitely possible to make judgements that are at least partially valid even without trying.

People dont need to be so dramatic, MK8 Deluxe runs at 720/60fps in portable mode and 1080p/60fps in docked mode, Splatoon 2 is months away from release, I really don't see that final version of Splatoon 2 will run in portable mode at lower resolution than Wii U, and I definitely see that in Dock mode runs at higher resolution than 720p.

I honestly didn't notice it was sub-HD while I played it undocked, so there ya go. Pretty sure that goes for most people here.

Yes I did.

No I wouldn't be able to know how awesome and terrible they are without trying them, but in any case that's not even close to what we are talking about here, you have no risk of death in this case.

Game actually looks much better than this compression screenshots, actually game look quite nice in motion.

I'm glad that all these comparisons look the same to me. If the game plays good, than it's good.

Shows that the tech isn't quite there power-wise. Maybe they should've waited for a better chip to come out from
Nvidia.

But then, it's just their game, releasing underpowered consoles. Pretty much every generation now.
