Forums - Gaming Discussion - Which game is a bigger embarrassment to their franchise? (FFXV or Andromeda?)

Which game is more embarassing?

Final Fantasy XV 45 23.32%

Final Fantasy XV 13 6.74%

Mass Effe- I mean Final Fantasy XV 135 69.95%

Total:193

Neither. I treat each game in a series differently, and i think Andromeda and FFXV are good entries into their respective franchises.

Uh...Mass Effect Andromeda, no question? Like, none. At all.

Say what you want about your personal taste but the reality is that if you pull back to get a more general perspective, Final Fantasy XV was received as a rather good game by the majority. And it along with Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn was viewed as a return to form of a sort after the XIII trilogy and XIV ran the franchise straight into the ground.

Mass Effect Andromeda, on the other hand, followed up on a game with a controversial ending but otherwise very well liked game and is, if nothing else generally perceived as disappointing. Not terrible, but disappointing. And the many technical short comings are embarrassing for any game with this much dev time.

Exactly. No matter the vocal minority of FFXV haters the game was pretty damn good. ME:A simply looks... boring? Generic? Broken? Whatever the reason is, its obvious that the was majority of fans did not like the direction it took.

Vote the Mayor for Mayor!

Currently playing FF15. When I first started playing FF15 I was really disappointing. I think I wanted to hate it and I thought it just didn't feel like a FF game but after giving it a little more time I am definitely enjoying it. Although, it does feel a little broken when I was able to get up to level 55 before the end of chapter 3. I'm pretty sure I had the Ultima sword by the end of that chapter too.

I've played every Final Fantasy game not on a cell phone/tablet and this one is somewhere towards the upper middle of the pack.

I think the real embarrassment is how people completely write off an entire game for some small issues

Platinums: Red Dead Redemption, Killzone 2, LittleBigPlanet, Terminator Salvation, Uncharted 1, inFamous Second Son, Rocket League

Only reason FFXV isn't the biggest embarassment is because the FF series has a legion of embarassments.

I haven't played andromeda, just looked at the first minutes. I can't tell it's nearly the mess FFXV is just because faces and animations are janky.
On that note, i remember having a big debate when inquisition came out about how the faces creeped me out and other people here saying it was me and it was a masterpiece. Alas they re-use them on Andromeda and it collectively dawns on everyone. It's never me, it's always biases. But alas... it's the price to pay for having experience on this videogame thing.

What are you even rambling about? You're spouting opinions here.

Final Fantasy is GOOD again. It's sucked since FFX.

Andromeda, on the other hand, I'm not even going to touch that. I think there are people out there that just HATE everything that isn't a mindless action game.

How is FFXV an embarrassment when it's still one of the better games around?

Final Fantasy XV is a great game and a good Final Fantasy. If anything it brought the franchise back from the mess FFXIII created in terms of single player games (A Realm Reborn was awesome, but that is an MMO) This comparison is a joke.

The title should just read, "Andromeda is a huge embarrassment to the franchise."

Troll thread is troll. I mean, just looked at the poll options and the OP hasn't posted anything since he started the thread. Haha

FootballFan - "GT has never been bigger than Halo. Now do a comparison between the two attach ratios and watch GT get stomped by Halo. Reach will sell 5 million more than GT5. Quote me on it."

I thought Final fantasy XV was pretty good outside the lovely framepacing issues of course. Perhaps not a very traditional FF game but not a bad game. Mass effect however is a major dissapointment fir me.

Please excuse my (probally) poor grammar
