A trophy hunter, huh...

Everyone is a trophy hunter nowadays, squeezing every last bit of a game for recognition instead of simply enjoying the ride. But arent we all like that to a certain degree? Isnt that part of everyday life? I guess, in a way, we are all trophy hunters. Thats just life: an endless effort for recognition and ass slapping.

Not me.

Yeah I didn't get the 10 year email either. Interesting though, you definitely have dedication.

I would agree but the Steam tracking is so bad that it's laughable.

You think? Steam tracking hasn't seemed that bad to me, unlike the Xbox tracking at least.

AFAIK Steam tracking is only track ur playtime when u r online. So when u disable internet it doesn't track the playtime.

Pretty bad especially for me since I play with my laptop and most of my games are played offline so I turned on the airplane mode to save battery.

A handheld gamer only (for now).

Damn, they track our game time silently and do not share it with us! I want these stats. That's unfair.

Had to look in my spam. But anyway. Horribly translated from german:

My membership began on May 30th 2008

I played 195 hours online, which puts me in the top 27 %.

My most played game is Grand Theft Auto 4, played it for 252 hours.

In 2016 I (apparently) was totally amazed by Grand Theft Auto San Andreas. I played that game for 45 hours. (And I did get a platinum. But it doesn't say that in the e-mail. =P)

With my trophy collection I belong to the top 1%.

My rarest trophy is "Bring Them All On!" (Complete the "ALL ROBOT RUSH" Challenge) from "Mega Man Legacy Collection". Only 138 other people have that one. (At least that's what the e-mail says)

I have 323 games in my digital collection, which is 6 % of the whole PS Store.

That's all.

edit: Ok, there's a catch. At the end of the email it says that the comparisons are only made with people who also get this kind of e-mail. I would imagine that is not everybody on the PSN. I would never be in the top 1% with my lousy trophy collection. Plus, I tried to extrapolate some sales numbers out of this (I just can't help it!). If only 139 people have the Bring them All on trophy from Mega Man Legacy Collection, that would mean the game only sold about 4,000 times, because in the trophy list it says it is obtained by 3,7 % of players. I have a hard time believing it sold THAT bad.

So yeah, the whole thing is probably not worth too much, but still fun.

We're actually still by far the minority. The average trophy stats easily show that. The amount of people that even get easy trophies, let alone the ones you really have to hunt for is just way too low for there to be that many trophy hunters out there.

When I see most people trophies stats I feel like a filthy casual.

Then I remember I don't give a crap.

Just checked mine and my most "played" title was Life with PlayStation at 5557 hours. But thats only because the PS3 used to automatically boot it up during downtime. I wish they let us see these stats properly.

1 hour online time in 6 years, yeah thats about right.

Trophies in the top 1%, that's surprising since I'm only a lowly level 13 and barely bother with trophies.

I share my rarest trophy with 46 others.

I own 12% of the games on the store (I'm guessing it only counts the EU store here and probably doesn't include games that have been removed from the store)

Like I said, it would be interesting to see my full stats even though it may have only been logging data since I joined PSN in 2011

I have nearly 120 platinum trophies, must be one of the biggest hunters on here lolz(but did it with 2 other people so cheating?..) Share my rarest trophy with only 16 other people.

Also dayyum 700 hours in Modern Warfare 2, such an amazing shooter.

Logged 270 hours in FFXIV last year, will be much more in this and the coming years...

Whether trophy hunting is fun or not, is up to everyone's personal taste. For myself, it feels like im getting more for my cash. Spending more time on a game i bought, is always a win (right?).

OK, my turn!

I joined PSN on June 29th, 2009, and played 459 hours online with PS+ (top 13%).

I played Final Fantasy 14 a bit, with 1764 hours in (obviously not included in the online hours). In 2016, I played Uncharted 4 for 206 hours.

I only have 6 platinum trophies, and am in the top 3% (I don't trophy hunt, my platinum trophies are for the most part visual novels with really easy plats). My rarest trophy is a Cyber Dimension Neptune one, shared with 21 other players.

And I have 62 games in my digital library, so 1% of all games.

These stats are not that big IMO, I don't seem to have a problem with gaming yet :D (OK, I played a lot less before 2014, most of these stats are post-2014...).
