A trophy hunter, huh...

Everyone is a trophy hunter nowadays, squeezing every last bit of a game for recognition instead of simply enjoying the ride. But arent we all like that to a certain degree? Isnt that part of everyday life? I guess, in a way, we are all trophy hunters. Thats just life: an endless effort for recognition and ass slapping.

I wonder if this is just something Sony of Europe is doing... Any other europeans get an email like this?

Firstly, I never got an email
Secondly, PSN tracks play times but just refuses to share them? ugh, it's even worse than the Switch in that regard then!

This. A thousand times this. Especially the second part. I'd love to be able to see how much time I've spent on each game, like I can on Steam and GOG.

I would agree but the Steam tracking is so bad that it's laughable.

You think? Steam tracking hasn't seemed that bad to me, unlike the Xbox tracking at least.

I once had a game that was way wrong.  I can't remember which game but I played the first few minutes before closing it.  Steam said I played for several hours, though.  I went looking to see if others had the same issue and it seems pretty common.  Some people posted some ridiculous numbers.  From what I understand, Steam tracks the .exe, so if the process doesn't close right or keeps running in the background (I know Fallout:NV used to do that with me) then your numbers can be way off.  I think it runs into other problems, as well, as some people have reported undertracking.

Well, it's still better than nothing. I haven't had any trouble personally, and I'm under the impression that it's got better in the last years. That said, I'm sure there are still problems, even if it is better, but like I said, better than nothing!
