Forums - Gaming Discussion - E3 2017: How MS needs to stir excitement for Scorpio launch and future of Xbox

Alan wake 2, Lost Odyssey 2, SSO 2, Quantum break 2, Tales of vesperia 2 (hey we are already praying for a miracle may as well throw this in) would all be fantastic.

I expect many variations of Forza, Halo, and Gears. Regular versions, Scorpio versions, remaster or remake versions.
It is Halo 3's anniversary I think? Possibly even some windows 10 version of Halo.

Curious if they will do anything with 4K TV/Blu-rays on the Scorpio.

No FPS Halo or Gears this year but at E3 we could see Halo 6 announced and there are rumors of Gears 2 Remastered or a new spinoff Gears but it just started devlopment so i doubt we will see anything Gears related at E3, maybe a DLC trailer ro something. Forza 7 will be at E3 tho.

Instead of Gears 2 remaster they should just keep supporting Gears 4 with story dlc, maps, add Overrun mode and tweak Horde. Gears 4 is freaking awesome 😋

Alan Wake and or Quantum Break sequel would be a dream come true. Sunset Overdrive would be nice. Don't really care about Banjo, Conker, Lost Odyssey or jrpg in general.

Then of course new interesting IPs are always welcome.

edit. and obviously Fable 4 or something else in Fable universe.

No matter how minute, Microsoft has been consistently making little Scorpio announcements from last last year to early this year. But they've been rather quiet recently. Ran out of things to say?

Only 2 things that have kept me from selling my X1, so these are the two that would excite me

1.  Alan Wake 2.  Please.  The first was awesome.  Why has this not already been done?

2.  New IP's to launch alongside Scorpio.

If the Scorpio launch comes and goes and neither of the above are at least announced, I'll probably say bye to the xbox for this gen.

I remember shinobi602 mentioning how Microsoft Corp is tightening the purse strings on the Xbox division, so there is likely a limit to how much the division can do. We'll probably see MS getting marketing rights to a big 3rd party game like the new Assassin's Creed and a bunch of partnerships. However, MS needs to do way more than that, especially when it's not just Sony who's bringing the heat, but also Nintendo.

after Scalebounds cancellation, he also said that Microsoft doesn't have anything big first party wise.

Yah. Tell them. I am sure they listen.

Hunting Season is done...

If I'm Phil Spencer, I'm sending grade-A liquor and top class porn stars over to the Bethesda offices. I would do everything I could to link Scorpio to Elder Scrolls and present it as the absolute best platform for the next game (lol except for PC lol). Let's face it, the modding differential is huge and if they can spruce up the Scorpio version to look the best, it would be a system seller. By making the PS4 way behind the Xbox One in modding, Sony is giving a certain measure of sales to Microsoft.

I don't know your  tastes.

But why do you always tried to ignore the diversity of Japanese games ?

I just want a proper cuphead release date so I can buy it for my PC. Personally, there isn't a damn thing xbox can do to sway me to buy their console but for anybody who is on the fence, they got a ton of work ahead of them. Scorpio being reasonably priced and damn-near immaculate 1st party titles.

honestly i doubt anyone interested in modding is interested in buying a console for mods. modders are on PC, and those who care about it are already on PC. Skyrim was probably one of the most modded games on PC ever, those who did all that and were interested in the mods are PC gamers, doubt that would change.
