Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Splatoon 2 Global Testfire Thread

I've been trying to play since the beginning of the testfire for the past hour, I couldn't play ONE match :c , I was hoping I could do better than yesterday since I could only play one match...

Just played for one hour straight and it was awesome! Took me some matches to get into it (they changed the button mappings I think) but after half an hour I was kicking ass and was the top player of my team more often than not. Can't wait for the final version!

Reminds me of Gamescom a few years back when I played Splatoon for the first time and the booth babe asked me for a date because I was good at the game :p Was a really neat demo to say the least!

I still have the moves after not playing for sometime. Pro controller is awesome.

Hey! They got SONY on my amiibo! Wait a minute. Two great gaming tastes that game great together!

Damn, man :)

What's your secret? I need some tips from the pros.

Since other people seem to be doing this too Haven't played Splatoon in quite a while, so it was fun to jump back into it with Splatoon 2. Game still feels great, and I love most of the new specials. Can't wait for the full game to come out

Also, these were just my best games. All the others were awful

I'm liking it so far, but I keep using x instead of b to try and jump and end up with the map and panicking because of muscle memory. I get why they remapped it closer to the right stick, I really hope they let you remap it in the final build though.
I like the duelies, dodging is really cool. I keep running out of ink with them though, I feel like they consume slightly more than the splattershot jr. I might be totally wrong too.
The game looks nicer than Splatoon one and i dig the diffrent hairstyles. Somehow it's really nice when you end up with a Squid that has a similar hairstyle to your own. I have yet to try out handheld mode. I imagine gyro to be a little ankward in handheld.

Simply play against new players. :L

Thankfully from gameplay I've seen it doesn't seem like there were too many veterans trying to scare off the rookies, so hopefully they all had good experiences and will buy the full game.

Holy shit. Nintendo needs to fix this asap. Same weapon. They kill me with 2 shoots. I hit someone 6 times and nothing.

Edit: Jesus again. 1 shot and killed. Fix your shit Nintendo.

So I was playing in a match where right before the lobby was ready, one of the player ended up dc'ing, and it was a 4v3.

After the match ended, I noticed something odd in the results screen.

"Just for comparison Uncharted 4 was 20x bigger than Splatoon 2. This shows the huge difference between Sony's first-party games and Nintendo's first-party games."
