Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Nintendo will fix problematic joycons for free

I already got mine fixed by Nintendo. And yeah, it's better, but I'm still having problems.

Before repair the left joy-con was almost unusable and would desync even 1 meter away from the console. Now, the left joy-con seems fine, but sitting at normal distance from my TV (3-4) meters, with clear line of sight between the joy-cons and the console, sometimes the buttons on the RIGHT joy-con stop responding for a few seconds.

It seems to only happen if the switch is docked.

Bottom line, signal is still crappy. Pro controller has no issues whatsoever and I have been playing with that for 20+ hours without a single hickup.

Ive emailed the local Nintendo distributor again to see if they can do anything about the right joy-con.

Oh, and I also bought a second set of joy-cons. Same goddamn problem.

Well, they kinda have to anyway don't they?

One would think. It's not like buying heavily cut coke from an unscrupulous vagabond who might murder you if you ask for a refund. Or like buying a 360.

That's some nice customer service there.

Although it should be expected for Nintendo to do so, it's still nice of them for offering a fix to this problem.

would be against the law if they didn't, soooo yay?

Thankfully mine have worked great so far

Luckily i didn't have that problem, but great news for those that do.

I did find a dead pixel just to the right of center on my screen though, which has me super depressed. Hopefully they can do something about that next.

there is ways to maybe manually fix it. Tapping it, heating, do some research.

This should have been an obvious thing. Charging money for something like that would be a joke from Nintendo imo.

I guess there's no point sending mine in then. I get temporary disconnection glitches in both joy-cons when the dock is 4 meters away, or sometimes when my leg is in the way. I'm using a longer hdmi cable with the dock in the middle of the room now. Perhaps I should hang it above my head to combat leg interference!
