That is a really good point as well.

I see it as an  additional service option  rather than a replacement.

Which it should be seen as imo. That's why his Netflix example made sense lol.

Back when it was only PS3 games it was considered to be unplayable by most hardcore gamers due to it's performance, not it's games, now suddenly it's just as good as a PS4, just because they're adding certain PS4 games at an unknown pace.

30fps is barely playable as it is, introducing more input lag would break a game for me.

If I'm going to stream, it needs to be 60fps minimum to begin with.

streaming games is too much input lag. It ruins the gameplay

Lolno.

As much as I hate the direction of PS Now, and I hink it is bad for Sony, it is not as bad as it is being made out to be.

First off, it is not $100 a year. That was a promotion that lasted about a month. It is actually $180 - $240 a Year depending on whether you buy monthy or 3 month subscription.

Currently, it is only PS3 games on Now, so a PS+ membership is not required. As they move to PS4, I would expect them to require PS+ for online play. Thus bringing the yearly total to $240 - $300 a year.

On top of that, PS Now will not support most peripherals, and it definitely won't support PSVR. So, in addition to the lower quality of play due to streaming, you also won't be able to play with the best input device for all games.

PS Now is definitely nkt best for business on Sonys end. It reeks of the bad board decisions of Sony past. However, I think it is a long way from doing major damage to the PS4 or the value of the PS4.

Stop hate, let others live the life they were given. Everyone has their problems, and no one should have to feel ashamed for the way they were born. Be proud of who you are, encourage others to be proud of themselves. Learn, research, absorb everything around you. Nothing is meaningless, a purpose is placed on everything no matter how you perceive it. Discover how to love, and share that love with everything that you encounter. Help make existence a beautiful thing.

Any time you're streaming games, it will automatically be inferior to having the game locally.

Exactly.  I have a PC.  Many times better than PS4, but I wouldn't dream of playing PS4 exclusive games on my PC.  And, graphical quality will take a hit too.

Here are my reasons why it's never going to replace the PS4:

1. It's not available in Australia.

2. The available library consists and will always consist of mostly old games.

3. The experience will be inferior to an actual PS4. Input lag, streaming quality, lack of plug-and-play on TV.

PSNow still seems like a waste of money to me, since you don't get to keep any of the games, and since I buy most of my games either used or on sale anyway.

They've made a huge leap with PS4 games on PSNow, but now the issue is, streaming entire AAA games. Eventually, this streaming tech will overtake standard consoles, no doubt. I just don't think it's now.
