How did you come up with your username, and what does it reference to, if any?

My username is not too special, but unlike what Wright commonly thinks, my username doesn't come from Aluminium in Spanish

I needed a new gamer tag that I can use but needs to be uncommon enough so I don't have to constantly worry it will be taken. Even though I have a previous one, I'm not a huge fan of it and wanted to keep it as a 'last resort' incase all other names are used. My older game names are mostly used offline so I don't have to worry about it being taken, but [DS] games often limited the characters so I had to adjust accordingly. So currently:

5 - Sylph (first heard from Tales of Symphonia, though is a common name so I can't use it online)
6 - Phanta (no, not a reference to Fanta, but to my previous username :p)
7+ Platina (my current and main username)

Platina is basically the direct translation of Platinum to Japanese: プラチナ (purachina), with the proper translation as 白金 (shirogane)
So Pura-chi-na -> Pla-ti-na is basically how I got the name. I first heard this name from Pokemon Adventures Platinum where the name is translated to Platina rather than Platinum. That volume itself is sub par, but the name stuck ever since and coincedentally is also my favourite Pokemon game :p

My username comes from the Twitch Plays Pokemon days. I made a Twitch account just to try to evolve the pokemons on stream by adding random commands to counter those that pushed B during evolutions. Hence the evolution part. I liked the name and I used it here.

You know it deserves the GOTY.

Hmm, pie.

I always play (if there is a choice) as a warrior/tank/frontline, so usually i pick knight or paladin or crusader, etc etc. So it first started as blacknight, but then there was difficult for that name to be available on each server, so I changed to Knightmare, a combination of Knight and Nightmare, and now it ended up as Knitemare.

I played Ratchet and Clank tools of destruction. In short captain Qwark is awesome, he is the best stupid game character out there. Just when you think he can't screw up more he still manages to surprise you and give a smile on your face.

Please excuse my (probally) poor grammar

Oneechan is japanese word, it means elder sister .

I love  Mocha hoto (right person).

When I made my account I loved the brilliance of the name Star Ocean. It's beautiful XD I had been new to the series at the time. The series isnt in my top 10, sadly. But Till The End Of Time is an amazing game. Play it if you can

The last name of a character in a book I'm very slowly writing.

Dumb story.

I've used many forum usernames over the years. Never really got attached to any forum before 2011, when I started posting on this anime forum I found. At the time, my roommates and I loved watching the Charlie Sheen media debacle, and would constantly repeat his quotes to each other. I went with the name Boom...Winning just because I was repeating the line so often offline, and didn't expect to be there long.

Well, I grew attached to that forum, and eventually met a lot of close friends. People tended to call me Boom, so when I finally wanted to shed that stupid Charlie Sheen quote, I changed my username to a more general phrase that included Boom.

Years later, I stopped using that forum after I grew to despise the anime it was centered around, but kept a lot of the same friends, so the name stuck.

Aaaand...that's it. Random :P
