As often as a woman's heart.

Demons's Souls (and its various successors) was the last game that blew me away so much that it could contest Link to the Past as my all time favorite.

It doesn't at all, no matter how good a game is, it can't beat the nostalgia.

This. For me it's the orginal civilization which I played and modded myself for years. I played it many times through the night into the morning with different friends, a situation that's not likely to ever happen again. My top 3 is set in stone, however BotW has a chance or getting the #4 spot.

Mario Galaxy became my #1 in 2008 and it has remained the same since.

I think for me its settled since I played Soul Reaver 2 back in 2002. Followed very close by Metal Gear Solid 3 Snake Eater adn Silent Hill 1.
I have a lot of Fave games, but the number one is still Soul Reaver 2.

Not too often. Last time it changed was 1993. Since then it's Mega Man X. You can't beat that game. It's perfect. Seriously. =P

Official member of VGC's Nintendo family, approved by the one and only RolStoppable. I feel honored.

it's been Crash Bandicoot 2 for a while now, unlikely to change mind you. Not like new games can compete with the classics.

Hmm, pie.

If I found a new game that was worthy to be my favorite game ever I wouldn't be able to devote enough time on it to be comfortable giving it that title. It could happen but time is an obstacle, I also play less games now.

My current fav is Deus Ex. I played though that countless times on the hardest difficulty and knew it inside out. I just can devote that much time to a single game now.

But I do sometimes change my mind. About 5 years ago I would have rated Majora's Mask as my favorite but replaying the remake, as great as it is, gaves me a chance to reappraise it and got its problems. Maybe a Deus Ex remake would make me reassess that game too.

<3 Deus Ex

That's currently my #2 :)
