They should have Bandai Namco make an arcade version like Mario Kart GP.

I don't think they need to bring it back when Fast Racing exists

I'm super fussy when it comes to futuristic racers and unless the controls feel right for me I lose interest very quickly. I remember Quantum Redshift on original xbox that looked amazing at the time but I didn't like the playability. Wipeout is a game that I have either liked or disliked purely on the feeling of controlling the game on the various versions. I tend to prefer cartoon racers like mario kart with wheels to be honest. I remember liking xgra I think it was called and super nintendo and n64 f zero games. I also have a soft spot for water based racing like wave race 64. Xgra was actually motorbikes I think but looked like wipeout which was a winning formula for me.

Fast Racing basically is a good replacement for F-Zero in all honesty, so if they want to reboot it, they should just let that team develop it :p

My wish: Gamecube games on the Switch via VC. And then F-Zero GX/AX. Jeez, that's the best in the series, and maybe even the best sci-fi racer out there.

I would be pleased with this as well; F-Zero GX is still one of my favorite games ever...

But given that Fast is a thing, and Mario Kart 8 has futuristic stuff too now, a continuation of the series just doesn't seem likely...

It's a shame given how much effort was put into the characters (relative to the kind of game that F-Zero is of course)...

Yup, I was flashed when I found out they all had an actual 3D model and a unique musical theme.

Nintendo tried to with Wii U. Criteron turned them down. Shin'en has stated they do not wish to make F-Zero. They want to make their own thing. Nintendo should just ask SEGA AM2 again like they did with GX.
