Forums - Website Topics - Breaking Good, Lifestyle change

I started coming to VGChartz when I was 13, having no direction on where I was going. In that time I have graduated High School (without honors), left the family farm (Learned a lot), started college a little late, and joined the Army just recently. I will be leaving for Army AIT in June so I want to get in the best shape that I can. So starting tomorrow I will try to excersize 4 hours a day (not including Sundays) to try improve my weight, strength, and endurance. This will be a public place where I can track myself and others can join in or post.

I'm in the Army so my main tracking will be 2-min Push-ups, 2-min sit-ups, 2-mile run, and weight (I need to stay below 190lbs). I currently sit at...

Push-ups: 42

Sit-ups: 50

2-Mile Run: 16Min 36Sec

Weight: 188lbs

This right now is my low end and I plan on posting updates on this everywhere

I am posting this here because the topics seem to live forever (My 2+ year old topic is still kicking) and the community has always been fantastic unlike various other forums. Any comments, questions, stories, or thoughts feel free to post.

Please Watch/Share this video so it gets shown in Hollywood.

Working out is awesome and great for your health but you need to change your diet to really maximize the effort. When I work out, I feel way better. When I eat like an NFL football player and PAIR it with said working out? That's when I feel like an indestructible terminator lol

And for those who are in it just to lose weight, diet is more effective than any work out.

I want to be around 175lbs. That is increase muscle and lower my fat. At this point I failed my weight test, but passed my stomach test by a small margin. I gained 10 pounds after basic, but look to lose the fat that is around my body.

@AlfredoTurkey:

I agree, I am cutting back on junk food and already have a diet setup. Tuna and chicken will be my main meats along with lots of veggies (Carrots, potatoes, corn, and others that I can dip in peanut butter). For breakfast I am eating Oatmeal for the most part and sometimes pancakes with peanute butter on top. I would love to incorperate fruits, but for the most part I can only include Apples, Oranges, and Bananas due to others being expensive. Any tips on what to eat would be great. My issue is that my family owns a farm and we eat a lot of burger.

EDIT: Along with that I have Amazoned a bunch of health food... That I should be good based on this website http://www.fooducate.com/
