I would buy a sony handheld if it was like the vita (only more powerfull) and actually had first party support. Sadly I'm not sure I trust sony in that regard when it comes to handhelds.

All this take about length and width...we're still talking about video games, right?

They could jut as easily make it an 8" or at least 7.5" if they just made those bezels around the screen smaller. There really isn't a reason I can thnk of for why the bezels are that big. Its not like they need to avoid accidental touches or anything.

I disagree.... with how the switch is held (and i recently got a chance to use one extensively) the joycons are big enough for your thumbs and the part of your palms just under your thumbs to rest on them. Not even remotely interferring with the screen.

You can see it in the screenshot i provided below. I can understand why its the size it is, and there isn't anything wrong with that size, it just culd have been bigger. And make no mistake, a Switch xl with a "1080p" screen and a biiger screen will be released soon but still have the same form factor and general dimensions of the current switch.

I wouldn't buy a sony handheld.... well, to be honest any handheld for that matter. Its just not how I play my games. I found this out when i bough a PSP and patapon from a duty free store at the airport before a flight and never played it after i got home. Ever.

And what happens when you catch the screen without the joycons attached? you put your fingers on the black borders.

Vita 2! That's MY wish too! One of them. I also wish for it to have normal cartridges that toddlers can choke on.

Japanese devs are going to force Sony to release a Portable PS4 if they want to keep games on there platform, and that is great news. If Sony and Nintendo get in a battle over Japan, this could finally lead to cellular enabled Handhelds which would lead to massive sales numbers. We could see both the Switch and PS4 Platforms exceed 50 million sales.

Best of all, if Nintendo and Sony battle to gain back the mobile market in Japan, that will cause rippling effects around the world. If Sony and Nintendo get seroius, we could have a 5 way battle in the mobile market between Apple, Google, Microsofrt, Nintendo, and Sony. This badly needed as the market has been stagnant for about 5 years now. Plus the mobile OS market is 100% owned by American companies, we need some Asian and European competition to keep things progressing.

Please developers and publishers, keep pressuring Sony. Make them build a better mobile market.

But... but... all the nintendo fans flamed me when i said it was too big and had poor battery life. Surely it was me that was wrong?! I must've paid this director to say these things. The hater! /rolleyes

PS vita 2 would be a hard sell, but if Nintendo doesn't come out with a sucessor to the 3DS, it is a great business opportunity for Sony. Might want to call it PSP2 though.
