I'm feeling major open world fatigue right now so I decided to put all of the big and time consuming games on hold.

Which gives me more time for some chillaxing moments with my personal mainstays Rocket League and Hearthstone. I've played them for a long time and don't see myself stopping anytime soon. Incidentally also the only two online multiplayer games I ever played.

So what are your mainstays you can always go back to and don't ever seem to get tired of?

Hmm. I tend to plow through games at breakneck speed, so I don't have a lot of spare time to return to the classics.

I guess Smash Bros. and Mario Kart, especially Melee and Double Dash.

RPG.Whatever happens, Ill always love RPGs

My (locked) thread about how difficulty should be a decision for the developers, not the gamers.

Super Smash Bros. I always go back to that game, I have over 2000 hours combined between Melee/Brawl/4!

"I've Underestimated the Horse Power from Mario Kart 8, I'll Never Doubt the WiiU's Engine Again"

Rpgs, platformers,.... or go back and play some league of legends / Path of exile.

*edit: considering how popular shooters seem to be (sales), its odd no one yet has voted for it.

No old school Counter Strike players here that still occasionally play it?

Aventure/action

It's not in your list...
You just left out Zelda, Uncharted, Assassin's Creed, and so many many many other games ^^

Probably RPG. Im always in the mood for some RPG. When I get tired of newer games I always go back to like, Suikoden 2, Chrono Trigger, FFVI and such. Never get tired of replaying them.

1. RPGs
2. Platformers
3. Fighter/Brawler
4. Sport

The Binding of Isaac. Currently at a -327 Win Streak while trying to beat Boss rush on Hard Mode with The Lost. I should get Afterbirth. I could unlock Holy Mantle there as a starting item. Would make things much easier.

Anyway, because of the random levels, countless interesting item combos and a decent challenge, I cam come back to Isaac any day.

I thought about putting them in but nah. Most of them fall under RPG or Sandbox anyway.
