The people in my house leave the lights on all the time and it drives me insane. I turn everything off except my console stays in sleep mode instead of a full power off.

Some things are meant to be on all the time, like movement sensors on lamps, fridge, an orange pi zero.

Sleep mode only when it's efficient, like PCs or the Vita. All else is only on when in use.

Mostly I keep stuff off or in sleep mode, but my PC is on all the time when I'm home (and not sleeping), and when I'm not, it's usually in sleep mode. I hate turning off my PC completely because then I'd have to log in to Steam again, which means having to dig the stupid two-factor authentication code from my phone. Valve has a retarded system for handling two-factor authentication with Steam: There's an app for it, but you have to manually write the code in the PC client instead of just tapping a button on the phone. Why, Valve, why!?

The only thing I leave on 24/7 is my PC(excluding monitors) and my fridge. Everything else I turn off when I don't need it.

Not really concerned about my electric bill and I replace my electronics too frequently as that I would notice any damage on them.

If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.

My laptop is on or "sleep" 24/7. Haven't powered it off in a really long time.

I have a surge protector with certain gaming devices. Used to leave them on. Now, I just hit the surge protector and turn them off. Otherwise, even when they're off they're not REALLY off.

I'm a sleep mode kind of dude. I also never tend to logout. :p

I have switches on all my devices that disconnect it from the power line. And I even turn my mobile phone into flight mode when I'm going to sleep. My PC however fully runs all day, even if I'm not around, I also do not use Standby modes at all. But every night PC and router will be switched off and disconnected from the line.

I do not care about the cost but I cannot stand even the slightest standby lights or sounds when I want to sleep.

My cell phone gets turned off once every 4 months or so

does that count?

I turn them off. My router and modem are also hooked up to a auto timer. So that they have a 5 hour break window.
