I have to disagree. I adore BotW. I'm seriously considering it to unseat Ocarina of Time, which has occupied my top spot for two decades.

But...there are some people who genuinely don't like it. They might be turned off by open world games in general, or by the game's difficulty, or by any number of things. Anything less than an 8/10 need not be trolling or click-bait. As long as someone articulates WHY they don't like it, then I'm fine with it.

Everyone has different tastes and priorities. It's all subjective in the end. There's no universal definition of "quality" or "greatness."

I actually like the weapon degradation.  It adds a new element of awareness and is very well done considering all of the weapons you come across can be used.  Throwing a broken weapon for double damage was a nice touch as well.

I would much rather have this than constantly having to sell or empty my inventory of countless throw away weapons like Skyrim or Witcher.

While I would have liked some weapons to last a little longer, it is no where near as bad as people make it out to be.  The system works quite well IMO.

The systems works really well indeed, the whole game is designed with that in mind, the problem is to play the game with the wrong mindset. 

What are you talking about?  I went to the comment section and couldn't find 1 person bashing Angry Joe for giving the game a less than 10.  On the contrary, there were a TON of people bashing the game, bashing Nintendo, and criticizing Joe for giving the game as close to 10 as he did.  What is ironic, is that 99% of these people probably have not and will not play the game. 

Apparently, some can't fathom that he actually enjoyed the game.

There was one comment I in his video saying that he only gave the game a 9/10 to appease the "Nintoddlers."

You are just as bad as those people then assuming 99% didn't play it.  I played it and sold it half way through. didnt like it. and i haven't met a bigger zelda fan in my life then myself.  So dont assume that 99% didnt play it. just cuz we dont like something you do doesn't mean we are less then.

Agree 100%. For me personally I couldnt get over the shortcomings. They were specific triggers for me that made me dislike the experience and i found it boring and annoying.  I usually love every zelda but this didn't feel like a zelda to me. felt like an all new game with zelda skinned.

I watched him play the game on his Twitch and he did enjoy it a lot. 9/10 is what I expected before this review having watched his time with the game, and it is quite a fair score considering the few things which bothered him about it.

Does not liking a game mean you bash those that do and the reviewer for giving it a good score? Because that is what the people he is reffering to are doing.
