Forums - Movies & TV - The best underappreciated movie of all time.

Hahaha, a friend of mine and I watched it for fun. It's fascinating in some concept that were thought to be good but actually were kinda wrong. We love especially this: they learn a certain kind of moveset to avoid gunshots, because the moves should be unpredictable. But at the same time it is a fixed moveset, so it is VERY predictable if you think about it. Not a really bad movie overall, but the fuckup in these concept made it an unwoilling comedy for us.

Around the Network

Well, let's see. Besides great stuff that was already mentioned (Primer, Memento, Pi, Chungking Express, Stalker, Heavenly Creatures, Dark City, Trainspotting, Donnie Darko, Brazil, Battle Royale, Gattaca, They Live, City of Lost Children, Let the right one In - all recommended by me too) let's see what I can come up with:
Coherence: Indie-SF-movie. Starts a bit slow, but if you wait it get's really interesting.
Wrong: Just great fun
Survive Style 5+: the japanese are just crazy with their ideas. And Vinnie Jones.
Trollhunter: One of the best mockumentaries ever
La Antena: Strange movie that replicates silent movies but also makes it a part of the movie that they are silent - and has sound in especially chosen moments.
Brick: Some of these actors came back in Inception.
These final hours: I don't see it gets the appreciation it deserves.
Pontypool: Stephen McHattie is so awesome in this.
Beats of the Southern Wild: Well, it's a great story.
Night on Earth: Sad, funny, interesting - a lot of different stories here.
Versus: I actually like Ryuhei Kitamura a lot, and this movie condenses towards the basics of a fighting movie. The main characters aren't even getting names, they're referred to as The Prisoner, The Women, The Boss.
The Similars: Movie that parodies old horror movies. Well, actually it works like these old movies, the parody part is that it has a totally strange danger.

OK, I stop.

And thanks, some recommendations I'll take up. The circle, The Road, 12 angry men, Upstream Color, Letters from Iwo Jima are movies I have to watch.

Bumped thread I posted in months ago? Hm. I'm revisiting Jackass 3.5. It's not really underappreciated as a franchise, as it's made a lot of money, on a low budget to boot, but the .5's of the series, including Bad Grandpa.5 tend to get overlooked. They're for the hardcores like me. BTS stuff, fun deleted scenes, ect. Purile? Sure. But it's more than that to me. It evokes a sense of camaraderie for me with my friends who also enjoy it, a sense which is very prevalent among the cast members. Now, some incredible nut shots.

Last action hero

one of the best movies of the 90's. Awesome movie. i read it bombed at the box office because of bad timing of release and other bad luck.

I was a huge fan of that movie. Watched all the different edits/cuts more than once. I'm kinda thinking I we discussed it briefly at some point prior.
