1. You're talking about stuff that happened years (while forgetting that games like Uncharted 2 and The Last of Us countered those bad news) before the PS4 was releaved. Since the reveal and more so since the E3 show it's been nothing but positive news surrounding PlayStation. The Vita was never going to shadow the PS4's success and never did.

In the meantime people are still want Nintendo going mobile which is what's driving their stock, not their hardware. And the same time as the WiiU failed miserably so they're desperate for good news surrounding their hardware sales and yet nothing.

2. So you're saying that they haven't announced anything because it's trailing behind the PS4?

1. At this point you aren't serious anymore, right? I've talked about the stock price of companies and the reality is quite different from what you described. For Sony you conveniently ignored everything that is not PlayStation. For Nintendo you seem to be oblivious that their stock has already risen since Switch launch, so there's no need to put out a press release for something that investors are already gaining confidence in.

2. If you put it this way and if it makes you happy, yes. But that was a given, considering that we know PS4 numbers (~4m in ~1.5 months) as well as Nintendo's projected shipments for the month of March (2m). Regardless of what you want to see or believe though, Nintendo will provide numbers eventually. Their timing not being to your liking doesn't mean that Switch isn't selling well.

Nintendo's stock just went up by 4.34% by the end of yesterday. Must be just mobile right? :P

An other article about why Switch could sell more than Wii

http://finance.yahoo.com/news/nintendo-switch-10-times-more-131433897.html;_ylt=A0SO8zq_8clY0FIANH9XNyoA;_ylu=X3oDMTEybHB2ZDM4BGNvbG8DZ3ExBHBvcwMxBHZ0aWQDQjM2MjNfMQRzZWMDc3I-

Switch could make what wiiu doesn't make.
Don't looking Switch like concurrent of ps4 and one, but like a tablet only to playing... But with the same games that you found on ps4 or Xbox and Nintendo games.

That said, the Nintendo Switch has its challenges when it comes to reaching that goal. A recent study found that while half the population of the UK knows what the Nintendo Switch is, only 32 percent of those who heard of it intended to buy one. If that’s the case worldwide, the Nintendo Switch may face a long, uphill battle in its attempt to overtake the Wii.

My kids are saying the Switch is getting talked about at school, so I would be inclined to agree with the 'half the population' comment, here in the UK. It's certainly a big difference from the 'What's that?' reaction we would get from their friends on seeing our Wii U for the first time.

It recovered thanks to the year-1 price drop and the multiple revisions though. I don't think the Switch will get a price drop any time soon, nor do I think it'll have many revisions.

Switch is designed with price cuts and revisions in mind.  The architecture selection and use of daughter die boards for storage (rather than soldered to the board*) makes both obvious.  Year 1 cut like 3DS? Unlikely but it's almost certainly going to have way more than any previous Nintendo home console and possibly as many as their portable consoles.

* They are using a chip architecture that is not End of Life as they were using with Wii and Wii U.  The chips have already receiving an upgrade and the maker's roadmap shows more planned.  The internal storage for a console is usually in a ball grid array soldered right into the board but Switch has the storage chip in a raised daughterboard that can be removed.  This servers no purpose unless you intend to upgrade.  Toshiba, the supplier, aleady has larger chips that will fit that daughterboard.

seems like people say this about every console that comes out now.  I remember people saying "price cuts in mind" for Vita, PS4, X1, etc.

Gamestop is vague, so we won't know for sure Switch launch ranking until we see the numbers, but still what we can deduct from their words that it was an excellent launch.
About attach rate, obviously nobody in his right mind expects lifetime attach rate to be reached at launch, so "one of the best launch attach rates" must be meant compared with other launch attach rates.
BTW, Switch+1 or 2 games+1 accessory or peripheral at a decent, not skyrocketing price, were probably the best offers available at launch, either at GameStop or elsewhere, this surely helped launch attach rate to be high.
