Wait does history really show that? And if so......where? And what innovations would they be copying this time? I hope you are not talking about the switch. Is the Switch the Nintendo version of the PSP just more advanced/a bump in performance? Because ya know the PSP had pretty much the same concept a long time ago. Just saying.......sorry didn't mean to pull the thread off topic!

Edit: If this is saecasam excuse me because I missed it again. I have been slacking there lately lol.

analog sticks, rumble, 1st party wireless (weak example), motion, 1st party character fighting, 1st party character kart racing, Virtual Console, .... (I'm sure there is more that is less obvious, but I'm wondering if you are just being sarcastic or too young to actually know)

Again, this isn't a bad thing. Its a common practice in any industry. Nintendo has done the same with going to the more "pro"/standard controller setup.

Yeah I am sorry but out of all that the only thing Sony "copied" was maybe the Playstation move(even though they had a patent for it YEARS before the wii) but I will give you that one). The rest of that come on....you can't be serious....if that is "copying" nintendo then by all means let's call it that. Ignoring all the years Sony spent working with Nintendo before the Ps1 branch off. But yeah we will just go with they copied them.

But no seriously though none of that equates to Sony copying Nintendo. But again I have to ask you said Sony would be copying Nintendo again I am assuming you meant with the Switch. But how would they even do that? I know you said some kind of Vita variant but Sony really already did something similar to what the Switch is doing now with the PSP albeit it was a huge success. Heck this copying thing makes no sense....so is the Switch a Copy combination of the PSP and what a tablet? Because the PSP was able to play games on the go and connect to your TV. You can play games with a portable controller on a tablet already as well. So does that mean Nintendo did the copying this time? And that is not a knock at the Switch heck I can't wait to get one myself, but it is not innovation or something new that has never been done before by any means.

I mean the "copying" thing just gets odd because it never really makes sense. Using some logic that is used almost anything can be called a "copy" of something else. But look I do not want to derail this thread anymore I will just leave things as is.Take care my good man until our next conversation!

Very excited for what E3 will hold from all of the Big 3 and have my fingers crossed for certain games with all 3. My most anticipated game for the Switch though is the new Pokemon! I want to hear more about that! Hopefully it is what Coliseum SHOULD have been and more! I want Lost Odyssey 2 from MS more than anything else. And from Sony of course The Legend of Dragoon but I know that won't be happening lol.

Did they actually have a patent for the Move years before the wii? I said that is the only thing Sony copied, but maybe even that is wrong.

Also a Playstation switch would be a DISASTER. I mean we are talking worst than the virtual boy disaster.  It would just be a really awkward vita. Trying to play something like uncharted 4 without horribly gimping it on a handheld would be a number one nightmare.

It wasn't for Move it was for something using the eye toy for motion controls but never actually used it at that time. I will have to go find that patent, someone else on this forum actually brought it to my attention because I never knew anything about it. And yes Playstation Switch would be a HUGE disaster heck like I said when they did that with the PSP the being able to hook it up to your TV and play games it didn't take off lol. So I would hope that they would leave it alone the Vita is amazing as is and has had some great games even if the sales don't do it the justice it deserves!

- a SCD based on GTX 1060. This is an instand winner, it would make 3rd parties port games to the platform.

No it wouldnt, games would still have to run on the non-SCD & undocked modes unless developers want to make these games available for a fraction of the Switch install base.

So? They are making versions of the game running on such a weaker hardware either way. It's called PC low settings. I guess the docked mode would get the shortest end of the stick here, but hey - I wouldn't care at all as long as I'd get the games running with SCD on par with Pro/Scorpio and being playable on the go.

Wii U is a GCN 2 - I called it months before the release!

My Vita to-buy list: The Walking Dead, Persona 4 Golden, Need for Speed: Most Wanted, TearAway, Ys: Memories of Celceta, Muramasa: The Demon Blade, History: Legends of War, FIFA 13, Final Fantasy HD X, X-2, Worms Revolution Extreme, The Amazing Spiderman, Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate - too many no-gaemz :/

My consoles: PS2 Slim, PS3 Slim 320 GB, PSV 32 GB, Wii, DSi.

Sony will also continue trend of following Nintendo's lead with some sort of push for portability with PS4. Maybe new Vita variant with bump in performance or new-redefined streaming gaming functionality for a newer slimmer/lower-priced Vita. (before you call troll on this, I think history is pretty clear Sony copies Nintendo's successful innovations)

Your constant "Sony copies Nintendo" is getting tiring.

Every product is an evolution and a result of a company being inspired by another company. Nintendo is very good at popularizing existing technologies. I'll give you that. But these technologies are almost never invented in-house by the console manufacturers and have often prior been tried by other companies with varying success.

You claim that Sony copied the analog stick from Nintendo and that they'll probably copy the Switch as well.
- The first game console with an analog stick was released in 1976. Sony used it for the first time in April, 1996. Nintendo in June, 1996. And no, Nintendo's reveal in December, 1995 was not prior to Sony's reveal in August, 1995. Claiming that Sony copies Nintendo due to the analog stick is like claiming that Nintendo copies Sony due to the paid online subscription on the Switch. Nintendo didn't invent the analog stick and Sony didn't invent the paid online subscription.

- Regarding the Switch, Sony already had a portable console that could connect to a TV. It was called PSP. If Sony tried this again, they wouldn't be copying the Switch. And we can't say for sure, whether it'd be because of Nintendo showing a demand or because it'd be a natural evolution of the PSP connectivity and PS Vita TV.

Even Nintendo is inspired by other companies. Deal with it.

- FromSoftware game teased. (Bloodborne 2?)

Nintendo:

- New Super Mario Odyssey footage. Holiday title.
- Splatoon 2 footage and release date.
- Another Old IP teased (Star Fox, F-Zero, or Donkey Kong?)
- Indie Showcase. Switch will have a lot of indie games!
- A couple of new IPs shown/teased.
- Arms release date set for the Fall.

My E3 predictions.

Who wins E3: people who love games.

Who will wow those people most: Nintendo.

Nintendo will show of the multiplayer and portable aspects of the Switch in all its facets.

Microsoft will come second with Scorpio and the first next-gen console.

Sony will deliver some nice games but nothing special.

I expect nothing interesting from all three companies.
Would love to see announce of proper Resident Evil game (not that VR shit), new Project Zero game, new P* project. Wouldn't mind news about Resident Evil 2 Remake.
