You should rather pay $100 on Nioh than getting Yakuza for free! No offense to Yakuza, Nioh is just GOTG content.
About Nier, I'll down the road, gladly I didn't at launch, as here in Brazil we had a recall of the physical copies due to an error preventing the game from being updatable XP

No offence to Nioh, as much as I loved the beta, I'm enjoying Nier more. I'm not getting Yakuza free anymore so I might end up Getting Nioh next. I need to play it whilst people are still on it or I won't be able to get co-op help.

Stop depending on help, lol.

Anyway, Nioh is so. damn. good.

I need the help. My gaming skills aren't what they used to be Pervy Sensei.

Anyway, Nier is so much better :p

Obviously everyone is entitled to like a game more then the other but Nier is a very different game but also one of the best games in a very long time. Its just fun and tells a suprising good story and the characters grow on you.

NioH is a good game but I think many would argue Bloodborne is the better souls game and I think so myself too, where Nier is proberbly the best Japanese Action RPG on the PS4. So yeah, Nier for me too, altough I did end up playing the PC version since I don't own a ps4 pro and the resolution was a deal breaker for me, NioH and Nier are both good excamples of games using the new hardware well..

I like the style but the combat seems very off-putting for me. Looks very Japanese, which isn't really my cup of tea.

Feel the same way. Bloodborne meshed story, combat and art style really well together. The bosses weren't just things you kill but had more depth behind them.

Nier is is a rare game. I don't think we will see another game like that anytime soon.

I like a lot of Japanese stuff, just not their games with over-the top flying around doing crazy tricks and mashing buttons like a madman combat!

This is somewhere between Devil may Cry and a souks game as some enemies do a lot of damage and can kill you in one or two hits. Yes you can spam buttons, but you have to know when to evade, when to back out and fight from a distance and when to go in close.

Dying also causes you to lose your skill stats where you have your extra health, attack stats, evade stats, speed stats etc and they are hard to come by compared to other bits.

If you don't button mash, you are rewarded with some beautiful fluid combat that flows from enemy to enemy. It's like watching a symphony.

Also, it has minimal crazy. You have a double jump and a dash like in the PS2 Shinobi game that when timed correctly creates a witch time moment like in Bayonetta.

The finishing moves are also more down to earth where you either unleash a deadly combo or a devastating heavy attack. It's not over the top like Bayonetta.

I would argue the story and characters are probably some of the most grounded and hit home more so than TLOU as it deals with a lot of issues in a subtle way.
