Even if done well may not matter. See Red Steel 2.  Knack like Red Steel sold well only because launch day.  By the time Red Steel 2 came out was years later and many better games came out. Red Steel left a bad impression. RS2 was really good but the name was so tarnished no one cared. PS4 having one of the best years in recent gaming memory. When Knack 2 does finally release, likely be a whimper.

Meh. It's possible. I don't think it'll do better than the first one saleswise necessarily but it might be a better game overall. Adversly, look at Assassin's Creed 2. The first one was an overhyped snoozefest but they successfully saved the franchise  (and subsequently ruined it again but thats another story).

To be fair AC wasn't launch and was anew and interesting idea with promise. That promise is what got people to come back. Knack is just a repetitive badly made beat em up.

Played it a couple of times, it was boring and incredibly repetitive and the combat was shallow. Graphics were meh, level design was way too linear and the difficulty wasn't well balanced. Character design was also terrible. That thing simply doesn't look appealing at all.

Knack was a really good game, not great, but good. The story and acting were pretty good. I think level design could have been somewhat better. And some of the enemies felt cheap. It's almost like they went with a more RPG bent to the damage. Like their damage was random. Cause sometimes you would be in an area where a character would kill you in two hits, then you replay that part and he takes 3-4 hits to kill you.  Which felt even more cheap when you were a upgraded form of Knack.

I thought Knack was a downright clever launch title for the PS4. Indeed, it was the deciding factor between getting a PS4 or an Xbox One in 2013. I waited another year to get the Xbox One as a result.

Totally worth it. Really enjoyed the game, hope Knack 2 fix the the flaws so the franchise reach his true potential..

I think my copy will probably remain sealed for freshness.

Why would you pay $60 for a game and then not play it?

I don't mean that sarcastically. I just mean it as an honest question because it doesn't make sense to me. That just seems like deliberately wasting money.

I only paid $20, about 2 years ago, so it's basically a collectable. I'm somewhat interested, but there are simply other games I want to play more. :)

It was very average but still enjoyable. I had fun with the co-op, even if one knack was kinda gimped. The new trailer looks like Knack has more variety in his attacks and fighting which was much needed. If they can give us a more compelling story/characters, it won't be no mario but it can be a much more complete package.
