Forums - Sony Discussion - Who else really enjoyed Knack?

Did you?

Yes, worth the money I paid for it 46 45.54%

No, but I am hoping Knack 2 is better 13 12.87%

Haven't tried it, but I am interested 8 7.92%

First off, I got this game for free at launch from my retailer, as a compensation for a 7-day delay with my PS4 that was supposed to arrive at launch, so I didn't actually have any expectations to it. I had seen the low metacritic score and the early critisicm from some camps (i.e. What exclusive do you have, Knack?"), but I ended up really enjoying the game, even much so that I completed it like three times and got the platinum trophy.

Now, I wouldn't say I would justify the 60USD pricetag at launch, but for me this is a must buy at the price it got now (If I hadn't gotten it already :P)

Nows hoping Knack 2 gets alot more praise, and hopefully ends in the 80+ metacritic section :)

Predicted 15+ million lifetime-sales for God of War:

It was ok.
Paid $8 for it.

I´d rather have something new than Knack 2, but it was likely very cheap to make.

It was good, great co-op with my then 3 1/2 year old learning how to play. The co-op system was very suited for keeping a learning player alive. A lot more enjoyable than him draining all the lives on dkcr or mario and getting kicked out.

I didn't really enjoy it but I felt playing it co-op split screen was pretty fun :)

It played terribly. It was honestly awful.

It was a terrible game. I played it for free on my housemate's PS4 at launch and as hard as I tried, I just could force myself to play anymore after about 8 hours. My housemate sold it pretty soon after.

It genuinely raises red flags for me when someone says it was a good game.

There should have an option that says "I want my money and time back"

My (locked) thread about how difficulty should be a decision for the developers, not the gamers.

I enjoyed it quite a bit. It wasn't amazing, but it was a fun little platformer. I can see if you paid 60 for it, being upset lol.

It was decent. Better than I expected (though I went in with low hopes). The sequel could probably rectifu the series if done well enough.

Even if done well may not matter. See Red Steel 2.  Knack like Red Steel sold well only because launch day.  By the time Red Steel 2 came out was years later and many better games came out. Red Steel left a bad impression. RS2 was really good but the name was so tarnished no one cared. PS4 having one of the best years in recent gaming memory. When Knack 2 does finally release, likely be a whimper.

I enjoyed it enough to want to buy the sequel, at a good price of course.
