Forums - General Discussion - Where do you want to visit the most?

Australia has always been the place I want to visit most.

Japan would be cool too.

Around the Network

Nepal - For the Hymalayas mostly. Not sure I want to do the full climb but at the very least to base camp.

New Zealand - been there already but I want to go back.

Greenland - It just looks like another world. Remote, desolate, very pretty.

Iceland - As you can see there's a trend of icy, snowy places in my list. Also all places where there aren't a lot of people.

Anti personal and individual rights and anti self defense and pro government monopoly on use of force (eg anti gun) stances in  most of the world preclude me from visiting very many places within the US let alone outside.

I'd make an exception for Japan as it is a different culture entirely and one of the few places in the world were people generally don't prey on one another in the first place. Nice to know some societies evolved past barbarianism and learned to get along.

Hello everyone! I decided that it was time for another easy-going thread, so this time I'm going to talk about places that I'd like to visit! I've only been to France and Italy so far (even then Italy was just a one day thing), so there's still much of the world that I need to explore! Here are some of the places that I'd like to visit:

Japan - I've been a Japanophile ever since I could remember being interested in cultures. This is definitely where I want to go to the most, but I'm not sure when it'll happen. I'd visit Tokyo, obviously, but I also really want to go to Sapporo!

China - I'm also a Sinophile, so I'd like to visit China as well. I probably have a better chance of going there, too, because I may stay there for a year for an exchange at university. Beijing is the capital, and where I'd like to visit the most, too.

Germany - I also used to be really interested in Germany. In fact, I took German lessons for three years during high school sacrificing my Saturdays so that I could learn a language that I'd probably have no use for! (Unfortunately I've forgotten most of it). I wanted to go there during my stay in France, but money was too tight to do that. Hopefully I'll be able to do it one day. Berlin is where I'd want to go, but I'd try to go to Cologne and Frankfurt too.

Russia - Fun fact: on the wall beside my bed is a flag of the Soviet Union (despite the fact that I'm not really a big fan of the USSR's actions...let's leave that for another thread!). I always used to be amazed while looking at my globe and seeing how huge Russia is. I'd like to visit Moscow, as most do, however I've also been very interested in Vladivostok too for some reason!

Mexico - I'm a bit nervous about the drug wars going on, but I really want to go to Mexico and see what it's like! I want to know if it's closer to the U.S./Canada or if it's more inspired by it's Spanish father. Mexico City is a must, but I'd go to Tijuana too if I weren't so scared.

Brazil - I used to be a really big fan of Brazil, but that has subsided in the past few years. However, I'd still really like to visit it and see what it's like! Sao Paulo and Rio de Janeiro are interesting, but I may try to go elsewhere too as I'm actually not really a fan of beaches.

And that's it for now! Of course there are other places that I'd like to visit, but I thought that 6 would suffice for now. How about you, my fellow VGCharterz?

I just visited Cancun and there's an island you can visit that's a bit less resorty and more cultural but I can tell you the resorts are amazing!

did you run on the hills dressed as a LOTR character while blasting the score?  Because if I ever visit new zealant I'm doing that

Point Nemo - At this point, the astronauts on the ISS are the nearest people to you. The next isle is more than 2,000 km away - and no one lives there. I want to experience that first hand. In best case all alone, but I don't know if I'm up to that challenge. Would be about 4 weeks on the high sea all by myself.

South Pole - Not as lonely because there's a science lab right there, but still one of the most extreme spots on earth. I especially wonder what the sky will look like there. But that's just one of many questions I want answers to. Answers you can't find on Google.

Haven't been to Japan yet, so I would like to go visit there!

Japan. Its extremely different and it all seems really interesting to learn and experience! The real problem with it would be the language barrier, so it would be best if I went with someone who spoke the language, but Im going either way one day!

My (locked) thread about how difficulty should be a decision for the developers, not the gamers.
