It's your assumption that it took 10 years? Even if tha why he did not came from this Crystal in the same place where he went (in chapter 13). His friends were waiting there for him.

BTW. It would be so awesome if Noct after his return had to find everyone by himself. They made it look so cheap that all meet in Hammerhead...

This was my only gripe with with FFXV: The story is amazing BUT poorly executed (and thus also making the campaign short).

Aside from that, everything else about the game I thought was amazing.

Don't get me wrong, I really liked this game, but after ending I told to myself "Well, story was so crappy told, that I will never ever play this game again".

And it's not that I don't like playing games again. For example I played Witcher 3 two times (about 200 hours of game time xD) sic!

Not sure why he was somewhere else when he woke up but I guess he wasn't even in the same place as the Crystal when he got absorbed by it.
