Let's face it - when it comes to exclusives - Sony's been killing it this year so far. They've already released enough exclusives to match last year's output- and it's only mid-March!:
Game / Date (Metascore)
Gravity Rush 2 / 1/20 (80)
Tales of Berseria / 1/24 (79)
Yakuza 0 / 1/24 (84)
Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue / 1/24 (77)
Nioh / 2/7 (87)
Horizon: Zero Dawn / 2/28 (89)
Nier: Automata / 3/7 (88)
Danganronpa 1-2 Reload / 3/14 (84)
Last year was already a pretty good year for exclusives, and produced some great games and arguably the (and my own personal choice) game of the year in Uncharted 4:
Game (Metascore)
Gravity Rush Remastered (80)
Street Fighter V (77)
MLB: The Show 16 (85)
Ratchet & Clank (85)
Alienation (79)
Unhcarted 4: A Thief's End (93)
No Man's Sky (71)
World Of Final Fantasy (77)
The Last Guardian (82)
Even in the next couple of weeks- Sony's never-ending wave of exlusives continue with:
Kingdom Hearts 1.5 + 2.5 Remix 3/28
MLB: The Show 17 3/28
Parappa The Rapper Remastered 3/28
Persona 5 4/4
Drawn To Death 4/4
What Remains Of Edith Finch 4/28
Danganronpa: Another Episode 6/27
Crash Bandicoot N'Sane Trilogy 6/30
Final Fantasy XII Zodiac Age 7/11
It's what's in the pipeline beyond that that is most impressive - with a line of exlusives that will probably take us all the way through to the next console generation:
Days Gone
Death Stranding
Detroit: Become Human
Dreams
Final Fantasy VII Remake
God Of War
Gran Turismo Sport
Hellblade
Hot Shots Golf 7
Knack 2
Matterfall
Nex Machina
Spider-Man
The Last Of Us Part II
Uncharted - The Lost Legacy
Wild
Wipeout Omega Collection
I know some of these games are timed and/or console exclusives - and I've missed numerous other games - but this list is pretty god damn ridiculous!
That doesn't even include the next Sucker Punch game, along with Bloodborne 2 - both of which I'm expecting to be announced at this year's Sony E3 press conference.
Oh yeah- and there's also PSVR!
What do you think - could the PS4 end up having one of the greatest exclusives libraries of all time when all is said and done with this generation?
Greatness awaits!
