Insomniac has had many games surface and release, bunch of decent VR titles, Ratchet and Clank, Spiderman

Yeah, i've been brought up to speed with that. I forgot about their work for Sony. Ratchet and Clank was amazing.

I think the Spiderman game is a licensed title to the Homecoming film which is due to come out this year. Luckily Sony is funding it and looking out for quality control. Better them and Insomniac working together in tandem. They do great things together.

No, its not a licensed game to homecoming in anyway. Marvel and insomniac confirmed its different universe and story with an older and more experienced Peter Parker at peak of his abilities, and some leaked synopsis even hinted that he might be married and could have a daughter. This situation is exactly like Arkham Asylum which was in no way related to The Dark Knight. The spiderman game is in no way servicing the movie.
