There, I said it. My favorite new IP on the Xbox that was quite underrated, but loved by most who played it. I need it and Microsoft needs exclusives, so pay up! Jk. It would be nice, but I wouldnt blame Microsoft from feeling weary about the franchise if it didnt turn a profit. Insomniac hasnt had a game surface since 2015. I think its time for part two to be revealed  for the holiday season if all is well. If this is one of the exclusives Microsofts waiting to reveal at E3 I will flip.

I think there is a good chance they already did.
Sunset Overdrive 2 needs to happen, I played this game at my friends house and when I get the scorpio I will finally play the first one completely, it was amazing the few hours I played.

Especially the customization, humour, a real great game, so good in fact I already have my copy :)
My collection has 5 Xbox One games that are eagerly awaiting to be played and this is my most anticipated.

If they Announce Sunset Overdrive 2 it will once again show they are really listening to the community like they have been the last few years since its been at the #1 spot as most wanted sequel on the system!

My go to game of the generation. When I when i want to play something but don't want to play anything in particular, an hour or two running around the city always satisfies the itch.

Not sure what kind of budget that game had but it could have broken even or made some profit. Certainly it sold well into a million physically and digitally combined. Its been a GwG title as well so many more played it.

MS is certainly funding projects, hope we see some surprises at E3.

Huh, Sunset Overdrive still hasn't come to PC right? So it's one of the few true exclusives left on Xbox One, pretty interesting actually.
The deal with Microsoft was made to keep the rights to the franchise so Insomniac could technically go to anyone for the publishing of SO2, even Sony. I don't really question whether Microsoft would publish it but whether Insomniac would go to them, they have been all over the place really :P

It's so worth it! lol the game kept me on my toes. IM playing as a female next. A sequel would quench that thirst for more sunset overdrive.

I like companies not owning IPs, they made the right decision, because its what Insoniac wanted. Its going to be a very good thing if SSO2 would be funded and published by microsoft on XBox and PC.

Since last year you can see Phil and his team have really made up their mind, play anywhere is the future. Now some people dind't like it but in the end its not only a very pro consumer thing, because people get nothing less and something extra but also a good thing for developers. For the first time since the 360 era Miocrosoft has a clear direction and has clearly set their own goals, expectations and strategy.

They do need games but they don't need to own the IP for everything, look at a game like The Order, where Sony owns the IP and a sequel is not in the work and there are a lot of fans who would like a sequel, if Sony didn't own the IP someone els might have stepped in to fund the game.

Same goes for Sunset 2, if Microsoft doesn't do it (who is the obvious choice) I would rather it end up on a Nintendo- or Sony platform then never explore this setting and world again.

Either way, Microsoft needs games and Insomniac is one of the industry's greatest, they have talked about SSO2 recently and I think the time is right for Microsoft to get it going, if they havn't already

It was my game of the generation until horizon and the witcher 3. lol it's funny how time changes things. 2elda is quickly growing on me as well. It's good to hear that you go back to it. I forgot what the Xbox term is for platinum achievements but I need one of those for sunset overdrive. After infamous this game quenched the thirst for grinding rails.

True... at this rate I'd be more hyped for this game than even halo or gears. Microsoft is wearing those franchises down to the bone.
