That's so arrogant. Now you're arguing that the only reason people are having issues with the game is because they haven't played it enough. It doesn't matter if the game becomes more tolerable if time goes on if the issues they're having with the game make them not want to play it long enough to get there.

Actually, many of the people who have an issue with weapon durability haven't played the game at all.

And what I'd really argue is that the common link between the people who consider it a serious problem is that they are inherently biased against Nintendo.

I also never said it was a serious problem. I also assume you believe I have a bias against Nintendo?

Weapon durability is games is fine but usually it is several hours of play before it becomes 50% ineffective, this appeared a few swings sometimes...although I presume the video was edited to show effect. But if he has this complaint against the game then fine, like he said, Zelda never had it before so why now, what does it truely add? Other than a extra pause here or there.

But then many people complain about random battles in FF games (which is always odd as they were a stable of the series for 15 years) and I never had any issues with them so to each their own.

Hmm, pie.

Jim liked the game. Based on his text review, he liked it despite not liking either the stamina bar and paper mache weapons and rain delays for tower / mountain climbing.

That part really is annoying.

It can be prevented by starting a camp fire and changing time that way though. But still annoying.

Im sorry but "the game expects you to take weapons for granted and if you dont, you're playing it wrong" is a terrible argument. You cant decide  what part of gameplay has value or not for other players.

Exactly why it work in both ways. Weapon degradation is not an issue or a godsend. It's just something designed for the game. Not good, not bad. Just like horses. Or the infinite bombs. The stamina wheel or even the paraglider.

Real issues are the terrible framerate for example. Not if I liked or not the system. If I don't like, I just say. I don't come with baseless arguments to say it is an issue.

If you tried to play Dark Souls like a mindless button masher and complained the game has issues because the combos aren't killing everything before they kill you believe me you'd get a similar response from series' fans so I can understand some of the arguments. Fact is someone may want to play in a certain way doesn't mean it's the most effective and logical approach to the game.

In BOTW if someone wants to mindlessly attack anything that moves they can go ahead they just shouldn't get upset when the downside of that style in the realms of the game take affect.

Reminds me of It's Always Sunny episode where Mac keeps on attacking everyone in sight even though he loses all his battles.

It funny enough kind of reminds me of fighting games where if you don't respect your opponent's options you end up getting destroyed by them.

How do you start a camp fire in the rain. Mine keep going out when it starts raining. I couldn't even blow up a fragile wall in the rain with conjured bombs, and bomb arrows simply bounced off it.

You can save and reload which has a chance to clear up the rain. Or save and die. I've had the rain disappear several times like that.
