It wasn't obvious.  Who would have thought guerilla of all devs could make their first ever RPG and pull off such sales. 

 

Horizon has turned into an absolute beast in terms of sales.

That game was bound to do well.

How many PS4 AAA exclusives failed in the charts? Really not many in comparison of all the ones that were successful.

 

Zelda or not, there was never any good reason to be worried about Horizon's sales.

Since Zelda Switch is split into two SKU's wouldn't the number for the normal edition be <96k?

I really wonder how much Horizon sold week one, it seems to have been quite a lot and it sold really well in all markets at that.
Would also like some Zelda totals and actual Switch numbers, not the vague nonsense from Gamestop and the like.

Well...Zelda does have 4 skus across 2 consoles...combined would paint a much different picture. Especially considering Switch is brand new hardware.

And as other people mentioned Zelda launched 3 days after Horizon...

Great for both games. Isn't Horizon the biggest new IP launch since, like Destiny? This is THE game to buy a PS4 for.
To Zelda's credit, Horizon did indeed get two extra days, plus it has multiple versions that weren't added together.

The Switch will outsell 3DS (based on VGchartz numbers), according to me, while Intrinsic thinks the opposite will hold true. One month avatar control for the loser's avatar.
