Forums - General Discussion - Choose either Daylight Saving Time or Standard Time but you can't have both...

Which one do you choose?

Standard Time 44 57.89%

Daylight Saving Time 32 42.11%

Total:76

I much prefer Standard Time.

I used to live in Arizona for many years and they have AST, Arizona Standard Time. No time changes ever. Everybody loved it. Setting the clocks back and forth does not add any more hours of daylight. It's completely stupid.

Hey! They got SONY on my amiibo! Wait a minute. Two great gaming tastes that game great together!

I like Americas uniqueness. We are not different in many things, nothing is our own. That goes for our battle with yhe metric system and day lighy savings time. Driving right side of the road, etc. Nothing I mentioned is unique, but all together it makes us the U.S.

Daylight Saving Time doesn't make USA great and doesn't add any real benefit.  There are numerous studies showing the negative effects of losing a hour for the first week or so.  Having the English system over Metric doesn't cause negative health benefits.  People don't get into wrecks because we measure by miles instead of kilometers.

It is one thing out of many that sets us apart, whether good or bad.

Oh and football.

Well our women's USA national football team is one of the best.  Tis a shame our mens can't get their act together.

Where I live it's pretty much either dark the whole day or sunny the whole day, so I don't feel the need for the two different times really. With that said, all devices change the time themselves these days so I don't really think about it anymore.

I would choose daylights saving because it works better with the mornings being brighter

even when we follow the American daylights saving time and is not as effective when we are more north :p

I don't care very much, but if some states decide to switch to Standard Time and get rid of DST and others don't...well, it's going to be a nightmare. I already don't know what time it is in my home state of California, imagine if I'm here in Wisconsin and we're on DST and my dad calls me an hour after I went to bed because it's only 9 PM in California. Blech.

I'd rather be playing Metroid Prime

Keep it at DST, it might be a bit annoying in the summer when it's still light out at 9 PM but it beats having it dark at 5 PM.

Seems like a lose-lose situation here, but I don't mind DST.

Thank god I have spring break when this happened.

"Just for comparison Uncharted 4 was 20x bigger than Splatoon 2. This shows the huge difference between Sony's first-party games and Nintendo's first-party games."

Actually, it would make the mornings darker, as daylights saving time shifts ahead an hour: hence it's get bright later in the morning, but it gets dark later in the evening.
