Forums - Sony Discussion - Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age. Steelbook/Reversable cover

always liked when they are releasing special editions of a game

Preordered that steel book, looks great. Super excited to get back to this game and give it a new chance. Didn't get that far the first time, but I'm much better at JRPGs nowadays

The main problem of International version is the job system; you're required to pick a job for your characters. This job cannot be changed, so once you've chosen a profession for one of the characters, it's stuck with that one for the rest of the game.

It's been a while since I played the game. But watch this video at the 2:20 mark:

Do you still have access to that "wheel" even after you picked a job for your character in the PS2 version?

The regular edition is fine enough for me.

Sadly I dislike ordering off the Square Enix store site for their site exclusive collectors edition.

Same.  Mainly because of the exchange and the shipping. Anyways, I have the steelbook version of the original.  Don't need anything special for the remaster.

I booted up the game to try it out and, unfortunately, yes you can. You can check every job from the wheel even after picking up a job already, but you can't do anything else on that menu. :/

Excited to give this one more shot. If I can stomach FFXIII there's no reason I can't give FFXII a fair Shake

"In video game terms, RPGs are games that involve a form of separate battles taking place with a specialized battle system and the use of a system that increases your power through a form of points.

Sure, what you say is the definition, but the connotation of RPGs is what they are in video games." - dtewi
