It's been 15 years since I've owned a Nintendo home console. Welcome me brothers and sisters!

I have now completed the trifecta. PS4, Xbox and Zelda... I mean the switch!! Woohoo!!!

Well, congrats. Especially for Zelda. I'm not really recommending the Switch, it is a good but expensive handheld (I bought it because I was away from home the first Zelda-weekend, with the Switch I could already play Zelda). But I recommend everyone who is into this sort of game to play Zelda. Doesn't matter if on WiiU or Switch. It is an awesome game and probably will be for me personally the best Zelda besides Majoras Mask.

Its a great buy so far. Nintendo didnt do me any favors keeping the Wii U price at $249 so I chose to best option possible at $299. Perhaps we shall meet in mario kart. Knowing Nintendo there will be more great games, and im happy with it being my secondary platforms. My Xbox was just demoted until it gets some exclusives. Zelda is going to take a while to finish. The on the go features are awesome, especially if you dont have a tv where you are.

Congrats and welcome to the club! I've been playing Zelda the whole week and my friends like the concept of the Switch so I'm happy with it, too. Hope you enjoy your purchase!

People get so salty when someone else buys a Switch.

Contrats to the OP, I've owned every Nintendo console since the GC and I can see why people find the Switch so appealing right off the bat. And with one single game that is (an excellent one!)

Great investment. Been playing mine everyday. Can't wait for E3!!!

NINTENDO

I had no idea it was Microsoft's strategy keeping the Wii U price at 250.

Congratulations and enjoy!  Besides Zelda, Fast RMX and Blaster Master Zero are great...

Thanks! Fast RMX reminds me of Wipeout. I might try that out a little later. Thanks again!

Yep Fast RMX is a solid companion title and if you have someone to play locally with than Snipperclips is a fun little casual, puzzle game.

Sorry, I meant Nintendo. LOL

How comfortable for you is it to play in portable mode and while using the joycon grip?

I havent played motion games using the joycon grip, but I have rather large hands, so I kind of have to grip the top. If you have smaller hands the joy con would be rather nice, i'd say. Its kind of awkward for me, but rather with the straps and everything, it should be fine. The form factor of the actual switch is rather thin so I adapted by using only my index fingers for trigger and bumper controls until I get the pro controller.

Hope this helps. :)

That initial welcome... :/

Hope you enjoy the Zelda/Switch to the fullest!

LOL Its been a blast so far. I havent had this much fun in a Zelda game in a while. Switching from portable, to docked and using the kick stand is so freaking awesome! Just needs more games, but I trust Nintendo will follow through.

I'm enjoying it a lot too. The zippiness of the system, how effortless it is to co-op and just play around anywhere. Blasted through Snipperclips in co-op this weekend in both tabletop and docked... felt it ended too soon so I guess it was too much fun :)

Zelda will keep me occupied until PuyopuyoTetris comes along. What titles are you intersted in?
