Forums - Politics Discussion - Trumpcare will replace Obamacare/ACA

https://trumpcare.com/

Here we go folks, Trumpcare is officially the alternative to the Affordable Care Act (known as Obamacare). Stumbled upon this and thought it'd be worth sharing since we have a decent amount of people on here who are decent with these types of subjects.

I must admit, I like the simplicity of the website and the overall neutral nature of it. We see what Obamacare offers, and what the new healthcare system will. Not really sure if I will like it or not- it will however be created during the time I start paying health insurance on my own. I guess I'll wait and see.

Please no insults or any sly digs trying to generalize and insult entire groups of people (examples would be calling conservatives racist or hillbillies, calling a non-conservative an 'evil liberal' or SJW for no good reason, etc. I'd love to see one thread live without it turning into a war

So, I don't really understand what the point of replacing Obamacare with this was if they're so similar to each other? Unless it's just to get people distracted by this so they're not focusing on other problems within the regime. However, I can't say that I'm too surprised that they are not so different from each other, because Obamacare was just private insurance companies handling it, instead of single payer like he said he would when they got the White House, House of Representatives and the Senate (spoilers, they ended up having all three from 2009-2011, and they didn't do it). However, as stated in the website, this is still subject to change.

actually I prefer the name Republicare, Paul Ryan seems to be one of the main authors of the bill anyway

Good to see they're trying to keep most of the good stuff while not punishing the rich just for being rich.

Republicans hate public healthcare though. I daresay it will be watered down from this.

There are those who want to call it Republicare so that Trump doesn't get all of the blame and so that the whole party will share it. I'm not sure how affective that'll be, though: if it were, I'd prefer the term Americare, so maybe people would blame the whole system instead of just one party.

Well, there's a reason that rich people are rich: in other words, they take the surplus of labour from the workers while giving as little back to them as they have to.

Even though it's pretty much the same thing, the whole idea is, "See?! We got rid of that ACA! Ha!" It's less about helping the country and more of a circle-jerking dick waving competition because both sides are so fucking stubborn to admit when they're okay with something from the opposing side that they're willing to shoot themselves in the foot to make some sort of point. It's childish and stupid and is why I really think both deserve a nice ass-whooping -which is pretty much what is happening by having Trump elected

No, workers and employers enter into voluntary agreements with one another. The rich usually aren't stealing to get where they are in developed nations.

Quite often, health insurance is part of an employment package in the US. So the rich pay anyway. Why should they be punished?

It seems liek Trump wants this done right away and get it out of the way
