Did you unlock your first achievement, scratching your precious screen?

The screen is plastic (not glass), so it is lighter, cheaper and less prone to shatter, but it will scratch more easily.

No. And so far I like the plastic. It seems to do an amazing job of not leaving fingerprints.

All my tablets or phones, if I so much as breath on them they are covered with fingerprints head to toe. I used the touch screen aspect of the switch on the UI screen and it left like nothing. I had seen angryjoe comment on how he was surprised by that too.

So if it does scratch, I will dislike that. But right now I'm happy it's not. It looks good, it doesn't leave smudges. So I'm not about to have a fit over doom and gloom youtube stories.

No. Slid it into the dock numerous times and did not notice any marks.

I don't (yet) have a Switch... I was wondering if Scratchgate is for real.

Maybe over time we will have more inside into the resilience of the Switch.

I feel sad that this happened to them. I hope Nintendo can fix this all soon. It looks to be an amazing piece of hardware with some issues right off the bat for some unlucky bunch.

If you are very carefull you won't scratch it but if you just slide it in in a hurry theres deff a chance it might scratch from what i've seen, the best thing would be a redesign of the docking station.

Personally I don't have a switch yet but I won't be installing the docking station and just use it as a handheld once the price goes down and there are more games and buy a nic carry case

No, not yet. I might buy a screen protector, but I'm pretty careful inserting it into the dock.

I haven't scratched mine yet, however I do think I will be ordering a screen protector just in case.

But I can see how this can be a problem, was one with 3DS too. So I might look into a solution to avoid that.
