Forums - Nintendo Discussion - BOTW Music is awful...

I kinda have to agree, the music feels very underwhelming. I'm used to soaring themes in Zelda, but BotW doesn't deliver that. It's not that the music is bad, it's just not as great as other instalments in the franchise.

I'm on Twitter @DanneSandin!

Furthermore, I think VGChartz should add a "Like"-button.

I think that bombastic, epic tunes while you're exploring a huge world like the BOTW one would be really tiresome in the long term.

Like I said in another thread about BotW music, I haven't heard all the songs yet, but from what I have heard, I really like it..

I felt like like that for maybe the first few hours however once I started exploring I feel in love with the way they handle music.

I like how the game sounds, like nature. I want to hear the animals, birds etc. This way it feels more in tune with the atmosphere of the game, being in the wild.

I kinda love it. The gentle fading in and out of the music and it's overall understatedness make you REALLY listen once the music does pop up and it gives everything this floating dreamlike quality. It's very well done imo and enhances immersion immensly. And I say that as someone who loved Wind Wakers soundtrack to bits and was initially dissapointed when they announced a minimalist soundtrack.
