Forums - Nintendo Discussion - IS my wii u defective or breath of the wild runs terrible at kakariko and Hetano?

So, breath of the wild is the perfect zelda in my opinion and I love every bit of it and yes I'm the biggest fangirl, but the perfomance in kakariko and Hetano village is unnaceptable. Are you having framerate issues there, is this a problem at every village? Nintendo needs to fix this because one thing is a game with some framerate dips and other thing is a game that runs like crap in important places.

ok thanks, I can't believe the perfomance issues for their biggest game ever.

The framerate is bad for me too in those areas

Well, it's not like I mind these dips anymore after the first few times.

I would prefer a patch for the game to run at 20 fps consistently in those places than inconsistent 20fps-30fps, that ruins the experience for me.

I have the game on Wii-U there are big performance drops. Its still a great game but its very noticable

So my question now is, If there is such a HUGE issue, why is this game garnering so many perfect scores ?

Should this issue not take away a few points from the game score ?

I'm still amazed the wii u can run it at all. I'm not far in the game and frame rate is great so far with beautiful graphics.

My wii u gamepad is defective though because when the tower comes out of the ground and the rumble effect happens my gamepad just feels like a spinning electric motor rather than much rumble effect. The worst rumble effect I've ever encountered on any console controller. The effect is total rubbish. The gamepad hardly rumbled at all but the spinning motor sound could be clearly heard. I'm sure my wii u pro controller has better rumble.

Wii u version has these issues more so. Switch namely in handheld mode really doesn't have dips unless panning around on the beginning area.

it's not a game breaking issue and the perfect scores are for the switch version, that version is smoother and have some framerate dips like any open world game. The problem is with the wii u version.
