Wii U sold about ~40k FW UK. Switch is nowhere close to a collossal failure.

Agreed. There is lots of spinning in this thread to make the Switch sales appear underwhelming but this "there's no difference in a holiday launch versus a March launch" is by far the most laughable. I assume that person has never seen a Nov or Dec NPD. Not that you'd really need to, logic dictates that there'd be tons more potential buyers during the holidays. And while it's true that it doesn't matter if you have 8 million potential buyers if you launch with only 2 million units available, waiting until holidays gives you a lot more time to hit that 2 million :)

What console do you you want compare? Because last time I checked, Wii U was Switch's predecessor, so, at least to me, is totally fair compare them

Fantastic news and well deserved. I have only had my Switch for a little over a day but this console feels very special and BOTW is one of the most incredible experiences I've had with a console, let alone a launch title.

Wii U belongs in an overall comparison, but I don't think you can use it as proof of Switch doing well (which is what your post implied). If you want to argue that Switch is doing well, compare it to its competition (PS4, X1, 3DS, PS3, 360, Wii, etc).
