I guess I will hook up my PS4 pro.
I saw no point before since there is no way games like Fate/Extella, Tales of B, Persona 5, and DQ Heroes 2 would get any benefit from it.
So who has any info on how to transfer the ps4 stuff to the ps4 pro? And can you still play games on the ps4?
I'd like to set up the pro for Nier Automata, and the regular ps4 for grinding Tales.
There's an option in the settings to transfer data, and you do it through an ethernet cable, here's a simple guide;
As for being able to still play games on it, well when I did it, after the transfer it was basically back to being a brand new PS4 again, with no accounts or data saved on it whatsoever... if you log into it again with your PSN and download your save file from cloud storage though you should be fine, but don't quote me on that since I've not tried it, lol.
Yes I got about setting it up yesterday. My transfer cord was broken, so I connected both to the ps4 with two ethernet cords. Neither long enough.
Resulting in cords being stretched everywhere. Routers on floors, playstations barely on stools, so many cords to jump over you'd think it was protecting a vault.
I think it is interesting that yours was like a new ps4. My ps4 pro is an exact copy of my PS4. Same settings, look the same, same files and layout etc. It didn't wipe my old ps4 at all.
I kept my ps4 as the "primary" ps4. So I haven' tried out the ps4 pro yet.
