They told me to pre order GTA 4 for the psp coming in "october 2007" when I bought GTA PSP.

a long time ago I pre-ordered a few games off of the EBgames website and got the swag with it. I dunno if they still do that but if they do it would be a method of getting your swag and not dealing with them instore. Plus they would have the same release dates for things on the website as the employees would have (theorectically), so you wouldnt have to go into the store to ask questions. It just sucks that no other store does it. pretty much until they get some competition to light a fire under their asses youll have to put up with the staff if you want your swag.Its just like if you collect baseball cards or something and the only store in town has a jackass behind the counter. you have to decide what is more important to you, carrying on with your collection or stopping because of the service. 

I agree with everyone when you say gamestop people do not know what they are selling.
I pre ordered the regular edition of MGS4 yesterday and the guy told me to come in today because the dvd/beta codes would be in today. I went in today and there was a different manager at the store. I asked him for the dvd with the beta and he handed me two of them! He said that there was too many in the back. He gave me two because he was trying to clean the back room. LOL!!! This was a MANAGER!!????

 Good luck with that.  Maybe the ready they looked at you like a nutcase could be because that is what you are.  I know that if someone like you kept harassing me about a pre-order or beta key, I'd lie my butt off just to make you miss it for annoying me to no end for weeks.

Mine knew about it but the didn't call me to tell me they got 'em, I had to go check myself and got mine. At least I got to see the list of pre-orders for it at this store, looked like 25-30 people. Pretty good for a game that far out :)

 Wow!  At my GameStop they were freaking out because they didn't recieve near enough.

my local gamestop has a bad habit of giving away preorder items to regular customers for free. Actually had them refund my preorder one time for a game rather than accept the game because they had told me they would hold back one of the dvds for xenosaga 2 back when it was released for me since I was picking it up later in the day.

Naw man I am not going to do that stuff man. Games are for people to enjoy. I am not going to try to make money off of someone by selling something like this. I do not want to take advantage of someone. I know you can feel me man. I am going to try to give it to somebody who did not get the chance to get it. Hopefully the person will like it so much that he or she will enjoy the real online enough to play the real version with me.
