Forums - Nintendo Discussion - 10 hours into BotW Wii U edition and I have no framerate problems

There's occasionally a slight little slowdown though. It's not perfect in that regard sadly. Mostly when it's saving. Only real I stutter I experienced was half-a-second back on the Plateau in the early hours of the game near the Old Man's hut for some reason.

I'm also on WiiU, but funny I don't experience any problem at all in Kakariko...

Like others have said, at towns/villages, it's very notable. I once got a real slideshow, when a Moblin died. I have a good eye for framerate though. Mario Kart 8 showed me the truth (going from singleplayer/2 player @ 60fps to +3 players @ 30fps lets you see the difference pretty well).

Bet with bluedawgs: I say Switch will outsell PS4 in 2018, he says PS4 will outsell Switch. He's now permabanned, but the bet will remain in my sig.

I had to buy the wii u version today, I'm noticing framerate issues at the forrest area where you fight with stone talus (plateau) I'm so mad that my favorite franchise and most anticipated game ever is "the best game ever and best zelda game ever" and runs like ass. Hopefully there's a patch.

Were you not playing the Switch version?  Why did you have to get the Wii U version?  If you already posted about this I missed it.

Amazon lost my order or something cause it was supposed to be delivered last friday, they marked the order as "delivered" and then they told me that sometimes the carrier does that and I should wait at least 3 days. Well 3 days later still without a switch. So everything was a waste of time and now they're going to give me a refund. So I'll play the wii u version cause I'm not going to wait or buy a switch for $500.

thanks, I'm playing the game so that's what matters :) the switch can wait.

I get pretty awful framerate in both the first 2 towns (kakariko and hateno) on the Wii U version.
It's fine out in the world though.

I think I had one, not sure, played about 4 hours is so.

Mine froze for a full second when entering Kakiriko on Switch once (when I came from the Great Fairy Fountain). But every other time it's been running just fine. It seems so random

When docked supposedly it will at times go down to the 19-20 fps range.
Also sometimes there can be mini freeze's (game locks and freezes for a few secounds).

If FPS is a huge issue just play the game in portable mode.... doesnt sound like it is for OP though.
